API implementation "HOWTO"
Maybe my imagination is overactive, but I seem to remember reading some- thing in the vein of a HOWTO/tutorial on adding a Win32 API call to Wine. It discussed the SPEC file, header files, etc. I've searched the winehq website and the source tree, but I can't seem to find this. Anyone know what I'm thinking of? Thanks! --

GUI on Ubuntu
Pardon the naive question, but I'm obviously missing something. I'm running the tools in standalone mode on Ubuntu 14.04. All is working well. upsc nicely shows me all the status info from command line. What I'm missing is how to get the GUI display.

problem with output voltage on a mustek ups
Hi there I have a Mustek PowerMust 1000 USB using serial port /dev/ttyS0. I use nut 2.2.1 with the megatec driver on Debian Lenny (testing), running on an AMD64 X2. (I was using a Debian Etch as slave, but to keep it simple I turned it off) My problem is that sometimes the UPS is running OK, but when the message "UPS is trimming incoming voltage" appears on knutclient (i.e. OL TRIM in

[LLVMdev] JIT on Intel KNC
Hi, in the past few weeks we were able to confirm that the LLVM's JIT compiler can be used for our research project. This was confirmed for x86-64 architecture (with very good performance results by the way). Now, one of our real target architecture is the Intel Xeon Phi (KNC) accelerator in a native execution model. When cross-compiling LLVM (3.4 RC1) for Xeon Phi with CMake following

[UPS on Serial vs. USB] USB slow to update, serial instant.
When I disconnect my UPS from the wall, I have to wait 15-30 seconds before the USB drier 'polls' this information and tells me that the UPS is on battery power (via knutclient or syslog via nut): ups@p34 POWER ALERT on Fri Jan 26 12:49:29 EST 2007 With a serial connection, I would get the alerts IMMEDIATELY (0.5-1 seconds) after disconnecting the UPS. My new machine does not have a

[LLVMdev] JIT on Intel KNC
Hi, We have the same difficulties. KNC (dubbed k1om in compiler utils) is a 64-bit device with 8087-compatible scalar arithmetics and non-standard vector arithmetics. More specifically, the widely used variant of 64-bit ABI implemented by LLVM involves xmm registers, while KNC does not have xmm-s and instead has zmm-s (512-bit wide). This makes standard 64-bit binaries you're trying to

Windows Nut Client supporting hibernate.
I am aware of 2 windows nut clients both interestingly called winnut. One (winnut 2.0.0b) is a service based client based on a port of the but client code (I think). The other is a GUI client based on (I think again) on knutclient . I have corresponded with both authors about a feature request - to allow the shut-down action to be (optionally) a windows hibernate. This seems a very

T.38 "client" for Linux?
I am looking for a simple way to send occasional faxes via the FXO port on my SPA3102 -- without having to connect a fax modem to an ATA. In an ideal world, this would be some sort of "softfax" that runs on my Linux desktop and talks (via Asterisk) to the SPA3102 with T.38. This is one of those things that I thought would be relatively straightforward, but a couple of hours of Googling

Is my understanding accurate?
Hi all! I'm working on a Java program to read the metadata from Ogg Vorbis files, which means interpretting the Ogg framing. I'm hoping that some- one can take a look at the following page and tell me if the overview I've written is accurate. http://home.comcast.net/~i.pilcher/OggSegment.html Also, since the documentation doesn't specifically state whether the fields in

Need help building Red Hat RPM
I'm trying to build a Red Hat 7.3 RPM, and the XMMS plugin build is failing, because the FLAC libraries aren't installed yet. I've looked at some of the SRPMS out there. They all patch Makefile.am in the XMMS plugin directory to make things work, but I can't to that on Red Hat 7.3, because it uses automake-1.4p5. (I know it's old, but upgrading it would likely break just

Lockups with kernel-2.6.32-358.0.1.el6.i686
I updated my home server with the 6.4 CR packages, and I've experienced 3 or 4 hard lockups since. The server is a fanless VIA C7 "CentaurHauls" system with a 1GHz CPU underclocked to 800MHz and 1GB of RAM. It has a dual-port Intel 82546GB NIC in its single PCI slot. (It also has an on-board Realtek RTL-8110SC/8169SC NIC that is plugged in, but doesn't currently have an IP

Loop vectorizer Queires
Hello, I have a few issues in vectorizing loops using Clang 3.8. Will it be ok if I shoot some of my findings and queries here? Meanwhile, can I please know if LLVM support autovectorized MIC instructions for Xeon phi? If so, could you please tell me the flags to use?
