OT: Explain where mailing list bouncing comes from ?
Hello, I'm a faithful reader of this mailing list, for several years now. Lately, I'm receiving emails asking me to re-enable my list subscription due to "excessive bouncing". What does this exactly mean and why am I receiving this ? Beside re-enabling my subscription, what can I do to improve things ? Regards -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was

Me too, also gmail. I emailed the list owner a couple of days ago, but no reply. Is everyone else affected also forwarding to another email address (gmail or not)? Could be wrong, but I'm guessing there may be an incorrect DMARC policy somewhere - although this is the only fail I could find in the headers. bounces at lists.digium.com; dmarc=fail (p=NONE sp=NONE dis=NONE)

Tablegen ridiculously slow when compiling for Debug
Much of this has been discussed (over many, many years) on https://bugs.llvm.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28222 Some of the issues that were identified included: 1 - Poor tablegen dependency handling leading to unexpected rebuilds. 2 - Debug STL iterator checks taking an insane amount of time (might be MSVC specific). 3 - Lack of parallelization of custom commands (XCode and VS builds) - VS at least

Tablegen ridiculously slow when compiling for Debug
FWIW, tablegen does not update timestamps for .inc files, if their contents is unchanged, so if you somehow affect a .td file's timestamp (without changing its contents) it will trigger rebuild of the corresponding .inc file with all subsequent incremental make builds. At the same time, this will not trigger rebuilding any targets dependent on this .inc file, since it is not modified. From

Another "me too" (also Gmail). I just received my 4th "account suspended, too many bounces" email, after having several days of lost mailing list content over a short vacation break the last time. When I notified the admin email account of the failure, it seemed the responder missed the point about the emails, saying the link had expired (it had been more than three days

[RFC] Switching to MemorySSA-backed Dead Store Elimination (aka cross-bb DSE)
Hi, Over the past six months, a MemorySSA-backed DSE implementation has been added to LLVM and it now covers almost all cases the existing DSE implementation does, plus adding a major new capability: eliminating stores across basic blocks. Thanks everyone involved with reviews, testing & patches! I think now would be a good time to start working towards switching to use MemorySSA-backed DSE

How many bounces does it take before you get unsubscribed?
I got notified on 22 Jan that I was about to be unsubscribed due to "excessive bounces". sedwards@sedwards.com causes me to be knocked off the list
Someone on this list uses the address @sedwards.com I doubt this is their actual email address as there is no MX record for sedwards.com and I can't find registration for their domain either. Part of my mail servers reject these emails because they cannot be replied to, or are likely to be spam. Every so often I get a mail from the list management to say that I've been unsubscribed
