Problems with MGE ESV 8+ and NUT 2.0.3
Hello, I recently had a failure with my old MGE ESV8 ups, it just died
on me so I had to get a new one. I found a MGE ESV8+ cheap and
everything seems to work fine with it except the communication with the
computer. The old ESV8 (non +) worked fine with NUT after applying some
patches I got from the mailing list, but I think they are in the source
tree now. I'm using the same cable that

OL/OB on RD
I have a unisys UPS, I probed the RS232 and notice that pin 2, (receive data) is going from -6v (OL) to 12v(OB), but I don't see the setting for the genericups. Seems nobody else is using the RD pin?
Any driver I can use?
Thanks
-Andrew

Tripplite SMX1500XLRT2U through serial
Hello list-
Anyone with Tripplite SMX1500XLRT2U
(http://www.tripplite.com/EN/products/model.cfm?txtModelID=2687)
successfully integrated with NUT through serial port? I'm trying to
connect to SMX1500XLRT2U using serial cable shipped with UPS under
FreeBSD 6.3-STABLE and NUT 2.2.2 installed from ports. Unfortunately,
it looks like it couldn't be recognized.

MUSTEK PowerMust 3000 NetGuard RM
Hello,
We are using the equipment "MUSTEK PowerMust 3000 NetGuard RM". That is
using Megatec protocol. But unfortunately not all the data can be viewed
correctly when dumping from utility "upsc".
For example:
upsbox# upsc mustek at localhost
battery.voltage: 108.00
battery.voltage.nominal: 96.0
driver.name: megatec
driver.parameter.pollinterval: 2
driver.parameter.port:

RE Fentonups driver - FreeBSD 6.x
Hi Stefanos,
you should mail to the NUT list, and try the megatec driver, which is only
available from subversion for the moment (but should be included in
the next stable release).
Carlos might give you some help with this driver.

Try RX as signal name (not RD).

Hello all,
Some time ago, you all were very helpful in getting nut running on an OpenBSD
system, using--for what it's worth--a CyberPower 1500AVR.
So I finally got my FreeBSD system's UPS, also a CyberPower 1500AVR, within
reach of its serial cable and I'm trying to get nut running here. I'm going
nuts.
Basically, I copied the OpenBSD configuration over to the FreeBSD system

Sweex UPS 500VA
Hi,
FYI for all whom have the Sweex manageable UPS.
I got my sweex manageable UPS500VA working with NetworkUPSTools using the
ippon driver. Here is my the ups.conf file:
[ups]
driver = ippon
port = /dev/cuad0
desc = "Server"
Has anyone tried the ippon driver with Sweex 600VA, 700VA, and 800VA models?

cyberpower driver
I'm looking for people that are using the 'cyberpower' driver that has
been available for some years now. It seems the overhauled 'powerpanel'
driver could support your UPS too.
The commands and status bytes used are identical, the only difference
being the way the values read for battery charge, temperature and
frequency are interpreted. If we can find a way to detect when to

Powerdown on FreeBSD
Hi all,
I just bought a Trust 1000VA PW-4105 UPS.
I installed the UPS on FreeBSD 6.1, and installed NUT 2.0.3 via the FreeBSD
port.
I had no problems installing and configuring nut and the UPS to run with the
PowerMust driver.
My problem however is when I test the powerdown function by issuing the
command: 'upsmon -c fsd'
The UPS is cutting the power before the shutdown procedure

Compaq T700
Hi
Has anyone got a Compaq(/HP) T700 UPS to work with the BCMXCP
driver? I've built yesterday's CVS of NUT 2.1 on one of my FreeBSD systems but
chown root:wheel /dev/cuaa0
/usr/local/libexec/upsdrvctl -u root start
gives:

Hello,
let me first say that I do not have much experience with mailing
lists, so I hope you can overlook any faults I might do in this
process, nor is English my mother language.
Secondly, I would like to thank all the developers of NUT, it truly is
a great package of software and has made life easier for many of us.
As I've understood the upsuser-list is also frequently read by the

Log rotation
Hi mongrel-herders,
I''m just wondering what fellow railsers use to rotate their logs in an
orderly fashion? I''d like to do something lightweight, i.e. (1) rename the
logfile (2, optional) create a new empty logfile and (3) send a signal to
each mongrel in the cluster and have them understand it''s time to reopen
their log file handles. This is what I do with apache and
