Belkin F6C100-UNV + newhidups
Mr. Selinger,
I'm CCing you directly since it appears (insofar as I can tell) that you
are one of the delelopers for the newhidups driver.
This is the third time I've submitted this (hence the CC this time).
Hopefully mailman takes it. I've tweaked my SPF records, and I'm hoping
that was the problem.
My sincere apologies if this has gone through and I just haven't seen it

Configuring a server without an UPS attached
This will sound a bit odd.
I have a current server running with a UPS. I'm in the process of
replacing that server with another and obviously want Nut to monitor the
new server. The new/old servers are in different locations, so I don't
have access to the UPS while configuring the replacement server.
I think I have the config ok, but what errors would you expect to see?
Typically I'm

Can not find the Belkin F6H375-USB
I have changed over to CentOS5 on some of our computers. I had been using
Mandriva 2006 and the nut software worked using:
driver = newhidups
port = auto
Using the same version of nut with the same config files on CentOS5, I get the
following error output from 'upsdrvctl':
Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.0.4
Network UPS Tools: New USB/HID UPS driver 0.28 (2.0.4)

nut with Belkin "Active Battery Backup" UPS (BU30 series)
Hi,
I bought a Belkin Active Battery Backup UPS
(http://www.belkin.com/uk/activebattery/) yesterday with a USB port and
hoped it would work with nut.
The device will show up in /proc/bus/usb/devices as a Cypress
Semiconductor USB to Serial. It creates /dev/hiddev0 (and this
disappears when the UPS is unplugged). I've tried using belkin,
belkinunv, usbhid-ups and megatec_usb. I've tried

Belkin UPS, master netbook, slave MythTV server
Hi all,
I've finally gotten around to setting up the netbook that controls my
UPS and I would like to make sure that I've got the metacode correct
before configuring nut :)
Here's what I've got:
Belkin UPS F6C120auUNV
* Batteries recently replaced
* On battery: 24 port switch, PoE AP, antenna power booster, ADSL
modem, MythTV server, 19" monitor

nut on pclos-2010.7
Greetings people;
The section of drakeconf that pclos uses has two problems.
First is several screens full of complaints about deprecated syntax in
"/etc/udev/rules.d/70-nut-usbups.rules" at each reboot.
So I pulled the current 2.5 svn trunk, then found I was missing quite a few
build tools needed here that aren't used when building a kernel, currently
running a 32 bit

new ups for database?
I have a Belkin F6H500ukUNV ups that I am attempting to get working
under nut, however it
does not appear to be detected by nut, I'm assuming that I need to
feed some information
back to you guys to get it included in the database somwhere.
I've included (what I can think might be) the relivant outputs. Please
let me know if you
require anything else.

Belkin USB UPSes
I just bought a pair of Belkin USB UPSes -- F6C1200-UNV and F6C550-AVR --
and installed the latest version of nut under Ubuntu 7.04. I'm using
the F6C1200-UNV.
My system does see the device; dmesg says

[ 82.941189] usb 2-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice

New User Questions - With Belkin USB
Hello all and thanks. I read here
<https://mn3m.info/posts/configure-ups-monitor-using-nut-on-debian/>
while searching around for my issue's resolution. In this I see that
this nut driver is creating and using an entry in /dev (in this case
ttyS0). So I "ll tty*" and see nothing with nut. Since this is a USB
UPS, I suppose I should be looking for something in /dev/ttyUSB*.
