Compaq R3000h support
Hi List. I have an old Compaq 3000 (Eaton 5119). It is running servers, disk-arrays, one workstation etc. I am planning to install NUT (master) on a headless CENTOS 6.8 system. Connect the UPS with seral cable. Now my main question is, Does NUT support the power segments on the UPS. My intention is to be able to take down the system in an ordered way before the batteries are exhausted. I.e 5 mins

compaq r3000 triggering the fuse when power is reconnected
All, I have a fairly old Compaq R3000h which is overdue for new batteries. Before I go and splash out a few hundred francs, I'd just need a quick sanity check - when I disconnect the power (UPS under load), it cuts out pretty much right away, so the batteries are flat (even though the charge indicator says full). When I reconnect the power, the surge triggers a 16A mains fuse. This sounds

Question on weird output from a Compaq R3000
Hi All, I put my Compaq R3000 UPS on NUT. Every once in a while the battery alarm light turns on, on the front of the UPS. Maybe once every couple of days or so. When that happens I get the following output in /var/log/messages: Sep 22 01:51:46 mail upscode2[90734]: Unknown response to UPDS: .20 MOUL1 Sep 22 01:51:46 mail upscode2[90734]: Unknown response to UPDS: 0119.20 MOIL1 Sep 22

Compaq T2400H UPS model 242688-006
Hi, I have a Comapq T2400H model 242688-003 and do not have the special cable to connect it to my serial port. I have tried all sorts of cable wirings that I found on the net, including ones for the powerware 5119 which appears to be the same model. I have read the documentation that comes with NUT, tried to read the source code and looked at the genericups code too.? I have

Powerware 9120 serial connection via USB/serial dongle
I decided to try this to see if it worked better since Powerware decided to build in some oddball USB protocol instead of using a HID UPS profile, but it doesn't seem to work. The USB/serial dongle is recognized by Linux and added as /dev/ttyUSB0, owned by group "dialout", so I had to add the nut user to the dialout group. In the compatibility list, the proper driver for the

help creating custom genericups configuration - RNG only!
Hello, I am trying to understand how to create a custom configuration for the genericups driver. My system simply signals RI on a serial port on low battery. That's it, nothing else. This serial port is also being used for communications so the other lines are going to be changing all the time, unrelated to the UPS state. Is there a "null" upstype I can use, and then add LB=RNG?

CyberPower 550SL reports LB and OB when on line power
I am using nut 2.2.2 and I have a CyberPower CP550SL. According to the drivers list, I should be using genericups with upstype set to 7, but when I try that and when I run upsc I get: driver.name: genericups driver.parameter.LB: 04 driver.parameter.pollinterval: 2 driver.parameter.port: /dev/ups driver.parameter.upstype: 7 driver.version: 2.2.2 driver.version.internal: 1.34 ups.mfr: CyberPower

using upscode2 driver with Powerware 5119 RM
I've got a Powerware 5119 RM UPS. driver.list says to use "genericups upstype=20", however I know this UPS supports the UPS Code II protocol, so I wanted to use the upscode2 driver. It took some hacking but finally it works. I'm using NUT 2.4.1 and upscode2 driver version 0.87 (however the latest r2350 version of upscode2.c isn't significantly different, so I think all

Belkin F6C1100-UNV
All, I just bought a Belkin F6C1100-UNV and am trying to get it to work with NUT. I have tried many drivers ( "belkin", "belkinunv", "genericups upstype=4", and "genericups upstype=7", "bestups", "fentonups"). None of them seem to work. Does anyone have any experience with this device? If there is some utility that you all use to
