libvirt doesn't boot kVM, hangs, qemu on 100% CPU
Hi folks,
it's been adventurous.
Yesterday night I've started debugging this particular
issue of why my KVMs don't boot on Ubuntu 11.10.
A first hint was apparmor, which seemed to deny access
to the LVM partitions I had assigned as disks.
After correctly configuring apparmor, or even disabling
it the issue was still the same.
After a wild goose chase, I decided to update everything,

logistic regression
Greetings,
I am working on a logistic regression model in R and I am struggling with the code, as it is a relatively new program for me. In searching Google for 'logistic regression diagnostics' I came Elizabeth Brown's Lecture 14 from her Winter 2004 Biostatistics 515 course (http://courses.washington.edu/b515/l14.pdf) . I found most of the code to be very helpful, but I am

Codec issue? Dropping incompatible voice frame ...
Hi,
When I call forward on PAP2, the incoming call will right the forwarded
number. However, there is one-way voice problem. The caller can hear the
destination(the forwarded number), but after the called party answers, the
caller can't hear anything. Then the CLI> produce continuous errors as
following:

can`t start guestfsd daemon inside guest
hi Mr Rich
As you recommended, I switched to Fedora 16.
I also built a guest machine with Fedora 16 Mini version.
Inside the guest I? installed libguestfs-live-service package but I failed? to start the guestfsd daemon :
??? [root at Fedora16 ~]# guestfsd -vr
??? verbose daemon enabled
??? linux commmand line: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-3.2.7-1.fc16.i686.PAE root=/dev/mapper/vg_fedora16-lv_root ??? ro

Hard-to-find bug brings down whole kernel
I have an older Lenovo machine, a T61, with the Nvidia Quadro NVS 140M.
There is this random bug that would hang the whole machine, and then
cause a
panic and reboot it (the caps lock light is flashing).
I can't get any kernel messages of this issue except the one in this
YouTube video I had luck to
film and catch the error:

The bug can be

Stale NFS file handle
Hi, I'm a bit curious of error messages of the type "remote operation
failed: Stale NFS file handle". All clients using the file system use
Gluster Native Client, so why should stale nfs file handle be reported?
Regards,
/jon

update to ext3
Hello All!
I've asked this question on others lists but didn't found any answer - full
distro upgrade was only reasonable option.
I understand why ext3 patches require up-to-date e2fsprogs - ext2 in heavy
development.
Q1: Why ext3 requires 'very' up-to-date util-linux?
I've tryed to upgrade from tarball - but realized that I can run into problems
with my distro. SuSE

Only domain admins can access shares
I've set up a single server with a DC and fileserver. I've read through all docs and the warnings on the wiki (VERY well done, many thanks to all the contributors) more than once so I hope I haven't missed anything.
smb.conf:

Unable to verify of llvm sources with the .sig files
With the new signature file I was able to verify, but there was
still a bad signature: "gpg: key 0x0FC3042E345AD05D: 1 bad signature"
which I highlighted below. Didn't seem to be a problem, but thought
I'd point it out. I'd be glad to do additional tests if you'd like.

is turned on. Can anybody
kind to confirm with me?
Our network is using a mix of Win2k server, Win2k Pro, Win98, Win95 and
WinMe machines, where the
Win2k server is the domain controller and terminal service applications
server and the Samba is a member
fileserver of the domain. All workstations logon and mount the samba file
services.
We'd like to check if the problem could be solved by

Ceph on btrfs 3.4rc
After running ceph on XFS for some time, I decided to try btrfs again.
Performance with the current "for-linux-min" branch and big metadata
is much better. The only problem (?) I''m still seeing is a warning
that seems to occur from time to time:
