[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] Debug information on multiple files
I've also been looking at debugging with ELF and noticed the same problem as Renato. I just sent a patch to llvmcommits that fixes the problem. DW_at_stmt_list needs to emit a label(and therefore a relocation) for the offset rather a constant 0, then the linker can fixup the offset as it shuffles object files around. [LLVMdev] [PATCH] [compiler-rt] Minix (w.r.t. svn r147606)
Dear all, I hope this is the right list :). I'd like to submit the attached patch for committing. The attached patch are the only required changes to make the latest compiler-rt build and pass tests (except for 2 currently ignored tests..) on Minix. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Mandriva problems
Have problems to install quite a few programs with wine - Mandriva 2006, that I can install without problems with other distros (SuSE10.0, Fedora C4 and Kubuntu 5.10) on other partitions on the same machine. My main interest is to install Excel 97 to be able to access my old wk4-files (I know I can convert them to xls-files to use with Open Office, but I don't want to do that, as I can

ZFS core contributor nominations
The time has come to review the current Contributor and Core contributor grants for ZFS. Since all of the ZFS core contributors grants are set to expire on 02-24-2009 we need to renew the members that are still contributing at core contributor levels. We should also add some new members to both Contributor and Core contributor levels. First the current list of Core contributors: Bill

Lotus 123 with Wine
Am a newbee to Linux and am trying to evaluate various distros to see how they fit my needs. For this purpose I now have six trial Linux partitions on the same machine. My other criterions to replace XP as my main system have been passed by all the distros, but remains the last one: to be able to handle Lotus wk4-files. That is where I have my history. First tried installing Lotus 123 from

[LLVMdev] [Patch] compiler-rt lib/int_endianness.h
Attached is a patch to pull in the correct endian.h file on the BSD'. I checked all OS' on the defined list and they all require machine instead of sys. While there I added __Bitrig__ which is a newly launched OS that uses clang as it's compiler. diff --git a/lib/int_endianness.h b/lib/int_endianness.h index 70bd177..f821f9a 100644 --- a/lib/int_endianness.h +++

Security suggestion concering SSH and port forwarding.
Hi, sorry if it is the wrong approuch to suggest improvments to OpenSSH, but here comes my suggestion: I recently stumbled upon the scponly shell which in it's chroot:ed form is an ideal solution when you want to share some files with people you trust more or less. The problem is, if you use the scponlyc as shell, port forwarding is still allowed. This can of course be dissallowed in

[LLVMdev] subregs in trivial coalescing
I'm running into a problem with subregs during trivial coalescing in the linear scan allocator. Should RALinScan::attemptTrivialCoalescing be allowed to coalesce a COPY that uses a subreg as a destination? I've got the following sequence of code (unfortunately for an out of tree target) that is moving 32 and 64 bit sub-registers around within a 128 bit register. By the time the register

openbsd compilation fails for recent checkout of v1-0_stable
This has been mentioned before on this list, but in order for md5.c to compile successfully (OpenBSD 3.3), the following must change in md5.c: #if defined( __FreeBSD__ ) || defined( __OpenBSD__ ) # include <sys/endian.h> Change this to be: #if defined( __FreeBSD__ ) || defined( __OpenBSD__ ) # include <machine/types.h> # include <machine/endian.h> And -E is an invalid

NetBSD patches
------- Forwarded Message The following patches should fix vorbis-tools to build on NetBSD. I'm not including the diff to the configure scripts, so you'll need to rerun autoconf in the toplevel and libao directory after applying these patches to the configure.in files. It also appears that vorbis-tools/libao/ao_libs.inc is automatically generated by a configure script but checked into

building under NetBSD
I am successfully able to build today's theora_cvs_snapshot under NetBSD/i386 1.6 with SDL disabled. (I haven't tested yet.) I was unable to build with SDL: player_example.c:52: sys/soundcard.h: No such file or directory I see the source says it is OSS-specific for now. This is what I did to make it build: --- work.rainier/theora/examples/player_example.c.orig Mon May 19 12:31:37

RFC PATCH: bring OpenBSD stdarg in line with FreeBSD one
Having an absolute path in a #include confuses distcc''s pump mode. Since AFAICS OpenBSD''s stdarg handling uses the builtins, I think we should just treat it like we do NetBSD. I don''t have an OpenBSD box to test on, though. :( Any OpenBSD enthusiasts care to comment? Tim. diff --git a/xen/include/xen/stdarg.h b/xen/include/xen/stdarg.h index 57e2c0e..cb870ac 100644

W2k client using "synchronize" on a samba configured RH Linux 9 file server ...
... does not work. I use the W2k functionality "synchronize" on my laptop to have up2date synchronized copies of my files both at the laptop and the file server. The file server is a P 200 MHz running RH Linux 9. When on-line the synchronization of files works, except for my swedish letters "???". However when off-line working with my files, then reconnecting to the

[LLVMdev] OpenBSD. (Was: 1.7 Pre-Release Ready for Testing)
I just added __OpenBSD__ everywhere __FreeBSD__ was being tested (there were about a dozen places). I suspect we'll have to add one for NetBSD also one day (even DragonflyBSD?). INT8_MAX and friends ought to be declared by <stdint.h>. It is on FreeBSD. Ralph Corderoy wrote: >Hi again, > >I wrote: > > >>>I would like to test but the I modigied the

Fixing libvorbisfile to handle largefiles
[I'm not online regularly, so don't include me in any replies. Looks like the archives are working at present, so I'll catch up from them when I get a chance. Thanks...] (Trying out vorbis-dev@ instead of vorbis@ where I sent my previous messages; if this is the wrong place, correct me) Greetings. Some weeks ago, I submitted several hacks which gave me the ability to play Ogg
