When try to install CentOS 5 via ftp on an system with less then 256MB RAM it fails. Hello, This is my first post on this list. I am experiencing very often hard-locks while using different wine versions (from wine 0.9.58 until 1.0-rc3). My OS is Fedora 9 x86_64 and I also compiled 1.0-rc3 how the wine wiki told me to do. I am also experiencing hard-locks just by using winetricks. Hi, I just built a new computer and wanted to install Centos 4.4 64bit on it. Specs AMD x2 64bit 3800+ EE Asus M2NBP-VM CSM 1 GIG RAM 60GIG HD IDE I can get it to boot from the cd and select language etc, and then it askes where the install is coming from. Cd, hd, network etc. Whats up it boots from the cd but then says its not there when it running from the cd. Any suggestions?

For some reason, CentOS 4.1 waits approximately 3-5 min at the "Determining host name and domain" during kickstart. RedHat 7.1, RedHat 9.0, RedHat Enterprise 3.0, and even CentOS 4.0 do not have this problem using the same kickstart server (my kickstart server is configured to kick all of them). Does anyone know why CentOS 4.1 is particularly slow at this stage of kickstart? Thanks

! I just installed Centos 4.1 (i386) on one of my test drives. When ever I try to logout of a Gnome session, it seems to hang but if I wait about 4-5 minutes it will usually logout, although I have had it hang a couple of times (never logs out). What's the easiest way to disable a kernel module during kickstart? Is there a syslinux command that could be passed in to prevent a module from loading? TIA!

I need to setup my laptop external monitor at 1366x768 while my LCD is only 1024x768. Is this done by dual head selections in the display configuration? How is that accomplished? Thanks, Jerry
