Hi, I've managed to build the zaptel modules including ztdummy; ztdummy is installing fine in the modules list and the relevant device structures are present. lsmod | grep ztdummy gives:- ztdummy 5160 0 zaptel 186916 1 ztdummy rtc 12372 1 ztdummy Where I'm stuck is I am now at a loss as to how to configure my /etc/zaptel.conf and

ztdummy
What does it take to get ztdummy to work correctly? I have a new laptop HP HDX9200. I am running asterisk 1.4.19 and zaptel 1.4.9.2 Zaptel compiles fine. asterisk compiles fine. ztdummy loads asterisk runs. Problem is playback() does not work. So then I stop zaptel, asterisk runs and playback() now works. However, meetme()'s dont work. I need ztdummy I'm pretty sure for that. I am

Dahdi and ztdummy
Hi, I need to run ztdummy for Paging, but now that this is all become dahdi I don`t really know where to start. I did build dahdi before building asterisk, but that`s it. I find it hard to find any documentation referring to dadhi instead of zaptel. I have no Digium hardware, but I still need the ztdummy timer (or whatever it`s called now). How do I get myself going? ztdummy/rtc
Hello, Maybe I'm missing something here. What is the proper way to use RTC with ztdummy now? I'm using -HEAD from a day or two ago on Linux 2.6.11.11. In zaptel/Makefile, I changed CFLAGS to: CFLAGS+=-I. -O4 -g -Wall -DBUILDING_TONEZONE -DUSE_RTC #-DTONEZONE_DRIVER and I get.. make -C /lib/modules/2.6.11.11/build SUBDIRS=/usr/src/zaptel modules make[1]: Entering directory

ztdummy and Linux 2.6.13-rc7
Anybody having issues with ztdummy under the current 2.6 RC7? I get the following errors when trying to modprobe ztdummy: "Unable to register zaptel rtc driver" Doing a Google on the error shows reference to a message from 2004 that said you might not have RTC compiled into the kernel. Checking via: cd /usr/src/linux-2.6.13-rc7 grep -i rtc .config shows: CONFIG_APM_RTC_IS_GMT=y

audio disappeared after ztdummy install
All too common and largely undocumented. I had this same problem. Installing ztdummy changes Asterisk to use it for timing of playback, apparently. Removing ztdummy "fixed" the problem. To get it all to work, I had to upgrade to to at least kernel 2.6.23.11 (previous versions are either missing options are just broken.) After doing this, I recompiled ztdummy and it worked. Note

What's the best ztdummy?
I have several servers using ztdummy as the timing source, some CentOS 4.x, some CentOS 5.x, some Asterisk 1.2.x, some Asterisk 1.4.x. "zap show status" differs between the servers: ZTDUMMY/1 (source: Linux26) 1 UNCONFIGUR 0 0 0 ZTDUMMY/1 (source: RTC) 1 UNCONFIGUR 0 0 0 ZTDUMMY/1 1 UNCONFIGUR 0

MeetMe & ztdummy
I'm running into a bit of a problem setting up conference calls. The box I rent at a colo doesn't seem to have USB hardware.... When I try to load usb-uhci I receive a "device does not exist" error. Which means I can't load ztdummy.... The system has a rtc clock module, so zaprtc won't work... (which I'm scared to unload rtc because I don't have physical access

ztdummy: rtc: lost some interrupts at 1024Hz.
Hi, I'm getting crazy about ztdummy. I have to replicate a PBX where ztdummy is working fine but for some reason I cannot. The two machines have the same kernel, motherboard, the same gcc version and the same zaptel 1.4.8. On the second machine zaptel compiles without errors and ztdummy.ko is generated but when I modprobe it I get the following error in messages: rtc: lost some interrupts

Problems with ztdummy
I'm having trouble with ztdummy and I can't seem to figure it out. I am running Zaptel 1.4.12.1 under Debian 4.0 with latest updates applied and I have compiled Zaptel from source along with a new kernel from Debian sources to include 1khz timer support. The modules build fine, yet when I load them I get the following output from dmesg: rtc: lost some interrupts at 1024Hz And then

modprobe Ztdummy is not working
Hi, I've install zaptel and I don't have a Digium card installed in the machine. So I want to install ztdummy to have Music On Hold working. I've follow these instruction http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+timer+ztdummy and at the point "modprobe ztdummy" it's failing. I'm getting these messages: root@dubic:~# modprobe ztdummy FATAL: Error inserting ztdummy

Ztdummy and Asterisk
Hi, I have installed Asterisk 1.4.20 on Debian Etch. The server has no telephony card installed, but I have anyhow installed Zaptel (Zaptel-1.4.9) in order to be able to use MeetMe. The Zaptel modules load normally. I obtain the following prompts: kerplunk:/# /etc/init.d/zaptel start Loading zaptel framework: done. Waiting for zap to come online...OK Loading zaptel hardware modules: ztdummy.

ztdummy compile under 2.6.28 ?
It looks like something has changed in the HPET kernel code in 2.6.28 (maybe .27 too) that's stopped ztdummy.c compiling (in 1.2 and 1.4 versions of zapata) A kernel structure member has been renamed with some crypic comments in the lkml about it. Anyone know the right thing to do - I'm not up on the linux kernel guts, nor how ztdummy might interact with it, so simply renaming the

ztdummy, zttest
Hello, Today we setted up a server that needs to use MeetMe but doesn't have any Zap hardware. So we need to use ztdummy (at least, this was our idea). Rarely: zttest is not working at all (100% bad, using zttest -v doesn't give anything, etc.). Of course, after load ztdummy, there isn't any background or anything. It is the same kernel (Debian Etch default kernel, 2.6.18) than
