I wanted to test this on another kernel again but haven't had a chance since your last post. [Bridge] Can bridge be 'seen' by ip6tables?
Hello! Recently,I¡¯m doing a security project based upon ipv6.I have built up a bridge to support a transparent firewall.(my system is Fedora Core 2,kernel 2.6.5).In this system ,the version of the iptables is 1.2.7,which does not support ipv6(I have tried it). Thus,I download a new version and test it. The iptables functions in bridge mode, but the ipv6 doesn't work well.In the

Bridging local physical interface to tinc
Hello Alexander, Am Sat, 18 Aug 2018 13:36:39 +0300 schrieb Alexander Donets <alex at dreamisdead.tk>: > I can’t seem to find info about layer 2 tinc tap interface bridge with local physical nic. just wild guessing: maybe you need to add explicit firewall rules for allowing the flow of traffic over the bridge? Or maybe disable filtering over the bridge via sysctl?

Default sysctl.conf with augeas.
I have a tricky problem. I''m going to use Augeas, like here http://projects.puppetlabs.com/projects/1/wiki/Puppet_Augeas#/etc/sysctl.conf to maintain sysctl.conf. However, since iptables is already disabled, when I add more lines to sysctl.conf with augeas and run sysctl -p, the following lines (which are already there) cause a failure. # Disable netfilter on bridges.

[Bridge] IPv6 + ip6tables packet bridging?
Hiyas, Is there a patch for the 2.4.x series to do ip6tables bridging of IPv6 packets? I was unable to go to 2.6 due to issues with large packets so still living in 2.4 land. If there are no patches, any ideas on what gets patched in IPv4 to allow this bridging? -Scott __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New and Improved Yahoo! Mail - Send 10MB messages!

network not accessible through bridged interface but traffic visible
I had a major HD failure and need to rebuild my host server and the virtual servers that resided on it. I am moving from CentOS 5.6 to CentOS 6.3. I am using the same configuration, as best as I can tell, that was working only hours ago on 5.6 but does not work on 6.3. My guest server can see network traffic on the bridged network device but I cannot seem to interact with it. Iptables turned
