CentOS 5 PPC
There has been some discussion about PPC on this list, and I was
looking at the CentOS homepage, and it states that support for the PPC
architecture is in progress.
Is there actually a V5 (CentOS) PPC download? I have been looking for
it on the site without luck.
For example http://mirror.centos.org/centos/5/isos/ only has i386 and
x86_64.
I have an old G4 with dual processors I want

CentOS on IBM Bladecenter HS21
Hello,
I have CentOS 5.2 installed on two of the afore-mentioned blades.
I've noticed that the OS started to crash lately (kernel panic) and I've
been assigned the task to troubleshoot this issue.
I would like to know what is the best way of recovering the kernel
dump after the OS crashes.
I know there are two software implementations that would enable me
to do this, kexec and

Migrate from RHAS 4 to CentOS 4.2
I have a SGI Altix 350 (ia64) that came with RHAS 4, but without any
paid support. I would like to migrate the server over to CentOS.
Here is what I've pieced together from some older posts by Johnny,
can someone confirm this should work? I know this is somewhat
covered in the FAQ, although both entries refer to FC or WBEL, which
already have built-in yum support.

ZFS on Mac - new sighting
There''s been another sighting of ZFS on Mac. The latest developer
release of Leopard (Mac OS 10.5) has a dialogue box calling out the
"Zettabyte File System (ZFS)" as an option. The first publication I
saw this is a French website called Mac4Ever - http://mac4ever.com/

2.6.9-5.0.3 src rpm
I need to make a new driver disk, so I need to install the src.rpm for the
initial centos4 install kernel, kernel-2.6.9-5.0.3.EL.
However upon browsing around the mirrors, in the 4.0 directories, I find
only 2.6.9-11.EL kernels and source? What's going on here -- am I looking
in the wrong place? I would expect to see 2.6.9-11.EL in the 4.0/updates
directories, not in the 4.0/os. I would

Need the CentOS 4.3 i386 ISO
Hi all,
I'm trying to rebuild a pretty old server. For this, I need a copy of
the CentOS 4.3 i386 DVD ISO, ideally. The torrent on the CentOS vault is
not working... Does anyone have a copy of:
CentOS-4.3-i386-binDVD.iso (md5sum: ca5ccf17951f4b4ef0460c7847e0f2ac)
Kicking around? I'd be much obliged if I could get a copy. :)

CentOS-4.4 - Some major changes on the way
I would like to take the time to inform people that CentOS-4.4 will
contain some major changes. The changes are significant enough that I
would like to spell out some of them now, probably at least a month
before the release of the upstream "EL4 update 4" is released.
The Mozilla Suite (Browser, Mail, Chat clients) will be replaced by
SeaMonkey. This is due to Mozilla's change in

os update with plesk
Hi,
I have plesk server administration 7.5.4 on my server and am wanting to
upgrade to plesk 8.
Plesk 8 supports Centos 4.2 and the notes on the 4.2 readme say:
http://mirror.centos.org/centos/4.2/readme
If you know what you are doing, and absolutely want to remain at the 4.2
level, go to http://vault.centos.org/ for packages.
If you follow the other link listed in that doc it goes to the

CentOS-Vault missing CentOS 6.7
Hey all,
I needed to pull some rpms from the CentOS 6.7 vault for compatibility testing. I noticed that 6.7 wasn't in the Vault repo file yet, but that the repos exist. I was just wondering what the ETA is for the Vault repo file to be updated with 6.7.
Thanks,

Automounter issue
Anyone seen this before?
I have a number of file systems nfs mounted onto clients running
various versions of CentOS (and Upstream), although mostly they are
v5.x flavors. =20
The server is a Network Appliance filer.
When the build process for this team runs, it sometimes dies because
it can't find files in the automounter tree; if the engineer checks,
he sometimes sees a problem, and
