[Fwd: Re: [Evolution] evo confused when searching message bodies on large folders?]
Is this possibly a problem with dovecot 0.99.10.9? Maybe it's been fixed in a later release? Might it be a security issue? C6.7 evolution to cyrus imap(s) fails
Hi I have been using evolution/cyrus/exim for 10 years - until yesterday! I upgraded to C6.7 and now there is no way I can find of connecting from evo to the cyrus imap(s) server [root at maui:~]$ ps -ef|grep imap cyrus 27768 1 0 15:21 ? 00:00:00 /usr/lib/cyrus-imapd/cyrus-master -d cyrus 27775 27768 0 15:21 ? 00:00:00 imapd -s cyrus 27779 27768 0 15:21 ?

Evolution in CentOS 5.2
(Probably OT) Has anyone else noticed these flaky (new?) behaviors in Evo since the 5.2 upgrade: - REALLY slow saving messages from inbox to another folder - search capability separated by folder instead of overall (with no option for control) - failure to autocomplete email addresses for known contacts I think that's it. I was wondering if it was just me, or if others had noticed this.

usbhid-ups using wrong value for battery voltage for Pulsar Evolution 500?
I suspect that the battery is failing on my Pulsar Evolution 500 (it is several years old now) but I can't seem to get a valid battery voltage from the UPS. The following tests were done using NUT 2.2.1, but I first noticed this with the trunk, and reproduced it with the current branches/Testing as well. The only two values I have seen for battery.voltage are 120.0 and 119.0, e.g.: $ upsc

Evolution & HTML
I've noticed several HTML emails that evo says are unknown attachments with a blank page on message display. Selecting Edit as New Message results in seeing the email in the composer. Anyone seeing this? CentOS 5.2. -- Bob Taylor

evolution and received by header
Evolution has a nice feature where it can sort messages by the most recent received-by date, instead of the Date: header. This is nice, because then if something gets stuck on a server somewhere in the world for a couple of days, it shows up at the end of your mail list, instead of way back where you might miss it. However, when using dovecot with evo, if I sort of received by instead of date,

NOTIFY broken in 2.2.31?
Hi, I just updated my Dovecot to the new build in Fedora 26, which is based on 2.2.31. After I did that, Evolution (3.24.3) is no longer receiving notifications about new mail in folders other than inbox (the same version of Evo that worked fine against Dovecot 2.2.30.2). The only folder that still gets notifications is inbox. I see there have been changes to NOTIFY code in this release. What

Unable to log out normally
I've posted this question to the Gnome users list, but so far no luck, so I thought I'd mention this here. A little while ago, I noticed that I was no longer able to log out from my GDM. I'm running the default GDM (2.16) that comes with CentOS, and this problem started up right about the same time that I updated to the 53.1.4 kernel (from the 8.1.15 version). As I've posted

"yum update" did not update kernel on one box
This morning, I did "yum update" on my wife's box. It did not update the kernel. I ran the command again, and there is a response that no updates are available. Her box is a Compaq Evo D300v Celeron. During the past couple of days, when I did "yum update", on my daughters box and mine (Dell Dimensions), the kernel was updated and in the GRUB menus now, there are two (2)

DoveCot 2.0.9: Problem with some Clients and separator (migrate from Cyrus)
hi, we had to move from a old dieing Sparc very quickly our Cyrus IMAP Users to Dovecot. Most things works, but some Clients (like Evolution or Thunderbird) are strange. Our separator in Dovecot2 is "^", the mailboxes on the filesystem are something like "INBOX.subfolder1.subfolder2", but in TB and Evo I see INBOX^subfolder1^subfolder^ In Roundcube Webmail, I have just a
