How are bricks healed in Debian Jessie 3.11
Hi,
How are bricks healed in Debian Jessie 3.11? Is it at the file of
block level? The scenario we have in mind is a 2 brick replica volume
for storing VM file systems in a self-service IaaS, e.g. OpenNebula. If
one of the bricks is off-line for a period of time all the VM files
systems will all have been modified when brick comes back on-line. As
some of these VM file systems are quite

Upgrade Gluster 3.7 to 3.12 and add 3rd replica [howto/help]
Hi,
thanks for suggesions. Yes "gluster peer probe node3? will be first command in order to discover 3rd node by Gluster.
I am running on latest 3.7.x - there is 3.7.6-1ubuntu1 installed and latest 3.7.x according https://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/glusterfs-server <https://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/glusterfs-server> is 3.7.6-1ubuntu1, so this should be OK.

RE: [Asterisk-Dev] Open source time card application for Asterisk
A little bird whispers to me: Don't expect this
particular trick to be un-addressed by various
legislatures forever. That window is closing,
and the bottom of the window looks very much like
a guillotine blade - don't have your head in the
wrong place.
In any case, as has been discussed on -users
before (which is where this thread should go, and
thus where I'm relegating it)

Cisco 2600 and ASTERISK and calling out
You have no dial-peer telling the router what to do with the outbound call.

Connection established, but no data transfer...
Hello!
I am attempting to get tinc running between two machines and would
appreciate any guidance one could lend. I have read through all of the
documentation and feel that I am close but missing something silly.

MS Flight Simulator?
Anybody had any luck getting MS flight simulator running? I'm running
Ubuntu 7.10 on Intel and got to missing
the Winders flight simulators after someone just gave me FS-X. It starts to
install fine until it asks for the second DVD, which it never sees. When I
click the Retry button, it keeps coming back with "Insert Disk #2."
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Gerry

Bouncing Mail???
Ever since last night all mail from the samba list has been bouncing. I'm
out of ideas...does anyone have a suggestion on what to fix.
I've attached the mail notification. It seems like sendmail does think
that lists.samba.org exists but I can do a successful lookup?

submission message quota
Hello,
I am trying to come up with a way to have individual quotas per user for
the submission service. Similar to what I could achieve with Postfix and
policyd.
More specifically, the quota I am most interested in, is limiting the
number of messages a single account can send within a given timeframe.
Ideally, I'd also like to limit the number of total recipients within a
given timeframe, to

user can no longer connect to shares
Hi,
I'm using the setup defined for my RH9 box to participate in a Win2000
domain. I have server = domain, etc. This has been working fine for
several months.
As of this morning, one user can no longer access samba shares. His
account settings haven't changed. I am able to access shares from his
workstation using my account.
I checked the log for his workstation. He has a number of

Major network slowdown today... Samba the cause?
Today, our network has been excruciatingly slow. I checked the log.nmb
file, and I noticed that today, the Samba PDC has been losing its "local
master browser" status every 2 minutes or so, for about 15 seconds, to a
Win9x client.
Before today, this also happened, but only a few times each day.
Network configuration:
1. All clients are Win9x.
2. Server is SuSE 6.1, with Samba 2.0.5.

Bandwidth Limiting using HTB?
Hello All,
I''ve been playing around with HTB and reading the various lists for
information on how to limit bandwidth on a particular ip or mac address.
If I understand correctly, in order to use HTB for this, I would have to
create a separate root class for each ip address that I wanted to limit.
I have tried this and it seems to work. This seems okay for a few ips,
but seems

FW: INITRD > MEMSIZE / 2
I?ve got a 512M machine and a 330M ( uncompressed ) initrd image. How can I
mount the ramdisk? Normal booting seems to want to copy the entire initrd
image into a Ramdisk, thus requiring 2X the memory. So what happens is the
kernel boots correctly and I get,
RAMDISK: ext2 filesystem found at block 0
RAMDISK: Loading 330000 blocks [ 1 disk ] into ram disk
And then I never see the light of day after

Using a separate passdb per service
Situation: one front-facing server running Dovecot as IMAP/POP3/
ManageSieve proxy, a mixture of IMAP servers (Dovecot, Exchange, ...)
in the back-end. Dovecot's passdb does lookups against MySQL which
contains a simple user/host mapping, the actual authentication happens
on the back-end IMAP servers. The configuration is more or less as

Snap Server fails to join Samba PDC Domain
I have a Snap Server which runs some imbedded version of Samba (I'm
thinking 3.X). I'm try to migrate from an NT PDC to a Samba 3.0.9 PDC
(running on FreeBSD 4.10).
The migration is mostly successful -- all the profiles have been moved,
client authentication works great, password changes work fine, etc.
My major problem is that the Snap Server fails to find the Samba PDC.
However, if I

Syntax for u32 match of src mac at offset -8
Hello All,
I''ve been trying to figure out how to do bandwidth limiting by mac
address. There are several posts on this subject, but nothing concrete.
My question concerns the proper tc filter syntax to do a u32 match at a
negative offset of -8 that should based on what I''ve read be the source
mac address. I''ve been plating around with it, but no success yet.

Access to Archives
I just joined the list and am trying to look at the archives.
The page http://lists.caosity.org/mailman/listinfo/centos
has a link to the archives that resolves to
http://localhost.localdomain/pipermail/centos/
which of course produces an error "The connection was refused when
attempting to contact localhost.localdomain."
What am I missing, and how can I review the archives to keep
