how to recreate eth0 - Realtek 8169sc
Hi all, Our intranet's WAN interface just stopped working yesterday, and I can't figure it out. The machine has a Gigabyte motherboard, with on-board RTL-8110SC/8169SC Gigabit Ethernet and D-Link PCI NIC for the LAN side. I can get into the LAN side without an issue, but can't see the WAN side at all. [root at intranet ~]# ifconfig eth0 up eth0: unknown interface: No such device

Troubleshooting ZFS performance with SIL3124 cards
Hi! I have a problem with ZFS and most likely the SATA PCI-X controllers. I run opensolaris 2008.11 snv_98 and my hardware is Sun Netra x4200 M2 with 3 SIL3124 PCI-X with 4 eSATA ports each connected to 3 1U diskchassis which each hold 4 SATA disks manufactured by Seagate model ES.2 (500 and 750) for a total of 12 disks. Every disk has its own eSATA cable connected to the ports on the PCI-X

[ANNOUNCE] libpciaccess 0.14
This release adds support for 32-bit PCI domain IDs, which are apparently common in virtualized environments. This support has been tested on Linux, and probably also "just works" on FreeBSD and Solaris, to the extent that the underlying OS supports it. If you were allocating a struct pci_device yourself, or embedding it in another structure, this release would be an ABI break. That

Supermicro AOC-SASLP-MV8
Bouncing a thread from the device drivers list: http://opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=357176 Does anybody know if OpenSolaris will support this new Supermicro card, based on the Marvell 88SE6480 chipset?
