CentOS 6.6: Webcam problem
Last month we discussed the problems with webcams in CentOS 6 and I raised Bugzilla #1158988 with Red Hat. This bug has now been declared a duplicate of 1145805. Unfortunately I'm unable to access that report so although I know Red Hat are looking into the matter I don't know what they're doing. Ron

Logitech webcam for use with CentOS 7
I am thinking of buying a Logitech C920S Pro HD or C922 webcam for the necessary video conferencing. Is anyone using that with Zoom or perhaps with Jitsi? Do I need drivers? Any issues? Thank you.

"Communications with UPS advice@localhost lost" when using an other USB device
I use Debian jessie with nut-server 2.7.2-1+b3. Yesterday I've configured it for my new Advice PRS850 (a UPS with USB interface). I also have an USB webcam (and also USB mouse and keyboard, but that doesn't matter). When I start the program Cheese (a program which uses the webcam), I receive the following broadcast message: "Communications with UPS advice at localhost lost"

TinnR & Philips Webcam
Hi All, I have a Philips Webcam, model SPC110NC. I had to download a diver in order for the webcam to work with Skype from the philips support page (www.philips.com/support). Now when I start up TinnR to use with R, it opens the webcam. If I manually start up R, Tinn R will no longer synch with it. Also, when I install the webcam driver there doesn't appear to be anyway to modify the

Webcam under wine
Hi, I recently installed a webcam under Linux, and I'd like to use it with wine. I'd like to test x-lite with this webcam, but I have no idea how to make it see my webcam. I tried in winecfg, but it doesn't seem to contain anything related to the webcam. I searched on internet, but only found some doc about msn messenger. Apparently, it's kind of a hack, not a way to make the

Just installed the above USB webcam but it is not recognized by dmesg | grep usb, nor does Zoom recognize it. I was under the understanding it should not require a driver, or? I am running CentOS 7. Thanks.
