"Possible intruder" warning
Hello,
I'm using tinc for a few years now and that this is my first post to this list
tells a lot about the quality of tinc, I think. It's just great, thanks a lot
for your fine work!
Recently I've discovered these messages in my syslog:

Indexing fails with .. FIELDS_INDEX_EXTENSION).c_str() )' failed
Hi,
Mailing list archives suggest that this problem has been fixed in the
older versions itself but I am getting the error still while trying to
doveadm index a large folder of emails. Sometimes it throws error
after 30000, something 40000, the latest it gave up after 111000. But
it just never completes.

Any ideas what I could do?

Samba Active Directory NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED - expired?
Hello list,
I'm using several samba server (mix between v2.2 and v3.0 versions)
within an Active Directory domain. These servers are normal domain
members and winbind is used to lookup the domain users on the linux
machines.
Sometimes it looks like that some of the servers get kicked out of the
domain. In the samba logs suddenly NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED messages
appear and samba stopps

Probelms with patching EXT-3
Hello anybody,
I have a Suse 7.2 Linux with Kernel 2.4.9, which is compiled by myself,
and is running stable.
Now I try to patch my sourcecode in the way you write on your homepage.
But thier are two Proglems:
1. When I download the the file "ext3-2.4-0.9.6-249.gz" with my Windows,
I get no packedfile, I get a Textfile?!
-so gunzip would not work.
2. never the less, I tried to patch

modelling a particular design
Dear R- and Omega-list-members,
I am trying to make statistical inference about the following design:
A dependent variable y has been measured multiple times, i.e. 4 times
(y1,y2, y3, y4), unfortunately suffering from some successive dropouts (i.e.
the sample sizes varies for y1, y2, y3, and y4). For every y, two other
variables (covariates) were also measured: x & z, and both do presumably

Yohoo!
Is there a repository for CentOS5 with VDR?
On http://www.cadsoft.de/vdr/ I only find the sources, but no rpms.
Thanks!

AW: VCPU amount
Hi,
I don''t want to hijack this thread. But as I lately posted a question which
mainly was about weight and cap and this fits in perfectly (and also you seem
to be an expert here), I repeat it below.
In the meantime I saw an academic article Ludmilla Cherkasova et al. from which
I understood that you have to careful that a Dom0 doesn''t get too much weight,

imap problems
Hi,
I''m really new to traffic shaping and try to implement the wshaper.htb
script.
I have a linux box that serves as vdr, mldonkey, samba, apache and
mailserver (imap), connected to my LAN with 100mbit. I''m connected to
the inet via adsl with a hardware router/firewall, got 384k downlink 64k
uplink. When I have mldonkey running, imap (via Outlook) gets *very*

too many open files
Hello list,
I have a problem with a samba 4.1.2 (Sernet Package) on SLES 11 SP3.
Every few days samba (which works as a single ad controller) says
"NT_STATUS_TOO_MANY_OPENED_FILES" and stopps working. To fix this
Problem our customer reboots the machine.
The logfile says:

PRI worked fine for months, nowit stopps working after 2-3 hours
Hello,
I wanted to relaunch my problem with a quite precise and small question.
Could the command "lsusb" affect interrupts when executing it regularly
(cron) and if the zaptel pci card is sharing an interrupt with a usb
bus?
I have a Digium PRI card and a few Xorcom USB Devices. The Digium card
seems to share the IRQ with some USB bus.

Net help analyzing logfiles: Printer permissions in Domain
Hi!
I am trying to print from an NT machine to a simple samba printer.
That NT machine is the PDC and the samba box is having logins
authenticated by the NT box.
When I try to access the printer with my own username, it works fine.
As soon as I have the account that is destined to do the printing
print, it can't log in.
I have included my smb.conf file and two log excerpts - one

tc filter rules matching source IP and route?
Hi,
I''m trying to set up a tc filter rule matching the following conditons:
source ip is 192.168.0.68 and only packets shall be matched going out on
the internet connection.
My first try was
"protocol ip u32 match ip src 192.168.0.68 ! match ip dst 192.168.0.0/24"
but obviously tc doesn''t like the NOT ... ;-)
I also tried the route classifier, but it cannot be

When I was trying to find yesterday's xmms-plugin bug, i have noticed
that seeking in stream without seek-table isn't very good. With
