Hi Bjorn, I don't know if there are any compile switches they provide more debugging / log options. I guess its easy to modify the start up script so that logging is at a max. Sernet has two samba rpms, samba and samba-ad. Can someone explain when I'd use these packages. For instance, I'd guess I'd use the "-ad" for ADDC servers. Which would I use for members? I'm guessing a simple file share server would use the vanilla rpm. Once I get these installed, can I assume I follow the wiki as if I'd installed from source? Thanks for any

I tested moving a box from Tao 1.0 to CentOS 3.7. All went well, as far as I can tell, with the OS upgrades, but I needed to rpm -ivh --force the desktop-* stuff. I read a few days back on the list where the tzdata rpm was to take care of the new DST rules. I run CentOS 3 servers, and did a 'yum update tzdata' , but received a 2006a update of the rpm.
