Hint to overcome the problem with animated cursors??
Hi I'm looking for a instruction (for dummies) about how to overcome the problem of invisible mouse pointers (animated cursors) that seem to be common amongs strategy games. (example: perimeter) I'm a newbie with linux and i've been spoiled by the point&click and plug&play usage of computers since Amiga 500 around 1987. :) kind regards - kimmok

Command and Conquer Generals
I am unable to run Generals, or Generals: Zero Hour with wine. The splash screen comes up, but then it says it cannot locate the DVD - which is in the drive and it actually whirls up to speed when the splash screen starts... Any ideas?

animated R plots
Hi, I want to be able to save the following animated plot as a flash.  There are ultimately 6 plots, but when I run this and save it as a flash all I get is the last (6th) plot, not all six different plots in order by "year".  I’ve tested the flash commands and they work; so it has to be my function code. I am guessing that the problem has something to do with overlaying the plot

Wine Menu Folders
When I had 0.9.55 I had a seperate Wine menu folder under my Applications menu. Now that I've installed 0.9.56 it's no longer there. Is it specific to each DEB? Or did I install something that I can't figure out now that created those menu folders. I really liked it there.

Animated gif or something similar in R?
I'm have a (minor) problem and a question. Problem: The following code creates 5 clusters of dots of different colors. However, I need the second call outside the data.frame call to get the colors to change for some reason. I assume there's an error in the data.frame() call, but I don't know what. Question: Is there is a way to cause the resulting graphic to rotate on it's

Low Quality Sound and Video settings in TF2
I have managed to get TF2 working at an acceptable framerate under Wine. However 3 problems arise when playing it. When I run the game, it always sets my texture detail level to "Low" when I can run at "High" or "Very High" with very little performance loss, but no matter what I do, whenever I exit and restart the game, it reverts the texture detail level back to

Icewind Dale 2 Mouse Cursor
Hi, First I want to say I am really impressed with Wine. Its about as good as Cedega and sometimes better in my experience. Anyways my problem concerns Icewind Dale 2, after starting the game up my mouse cursor is not the gloved hand in game version but a mix of that and the KDE desktop cursor. It looks like a black square with both cursors overlapping. Naturally this makes it difficult to play

New TableGen backend for debugging
I certainly agree that there are a boatload of CMake options. I haven't even scratched the surface. In keeping with your suggestion: Is there a way to tell Ninja to build just one target machine? Digital Works 95: Problem with animated dashed lines on elements
I've installed the latest available wine [ebuild R ] app-emulation/wine-0.9.22 and have issues with Digital Works 95. this is an old tool we need for creating digital circuits at home. If I place an element in workarea it gets unvisible as long as I have marked it. If I release focus it appears again. In a real windows installation the elements have an animated dashed line around.
