[LLVMdev] Trying to build Firefox on OSX with LLVM 2.2
Hello
I'm trying to build Firefox with LLVM 2.2 and llvm-gcc 4.2 but I can't
get it working. I've tried with Firefox 2.0.0.12 and 3.0 from CVS. The
build error from Firefox 2 is this:
usr/local/bin/llvm-gcc -o host_mar.o -c -DXP_UNIX -DXP_MACOSX -DNO_X11
-O -I../../../dist/include/libmar -I../../../dist/include/mar
-I../../../dist/include -I../../../dist/include/nspr

Winbind: can't log in as domain user
Sorry about the lengthy post - I'm putting as much in here as I can in
hopes that someone can help me ferret out the problem.
Basic problem is that domain users can't successfully log into the
linux box. I'm trying to set this box up as an ltsp server
authenticating against our existing AD (although this is actually in a
test lab - I didn't really want to trash anything real

Thunderbird does not follow url links in Firefox
Since the recent update from firefox2 to firefox3 the links in my mails
do no longer work. No window pops up. After some debug I found the
problem. Let's share it with others that experience the same problem:
I'm using Thunderbird 2.0.0.17 (manually downloaded, that might have
caused the problem, I have not tried with 1.5)
I'm using Firefox 3.0.2 (yum installed CentOS 4.7)

How to mount NT share & maintain NT share permission via SMB for LTSP user??
When a regular user (say, "jmc") logs onto my Linux (LTSP, Samba, DHCP)
server via his LTSP terminal I need an NT drive share to be mounted with
the permissions that NT intends.
Our NT file print server has a directory named "private" which contains
subdirectories for each user. Each user has NT read/write permissions to
his/her private subdir and no others. I need for each

Question regarding config, not sure if syslinux or tftp-hpa related
Good morning everybody,
I'm pretty new to syslinux & tftp-hpa, and so I'm not quite sure where
my question belongs to, but I'll try it here first.
I want to enhance the network services by offering a LTSP (just for the
case the pc or laptop doesn't work for some reasons). And so, for
testing, I added a second linux-based system (lets call it system-b).
Currently the tftpd

following setup :
1 central server ( linux ) , 17 servers ( LTSP ) on different locations,
where each server has a number of thinclients connected to it ( max 6 ) The
central server / 17 LTSP servers are on the internet and share 1 VPN (
freeswan ). It would be nice if the 17 LTSP servers could use asterix on one

ltsp kernel crash
Hi,
I've been using pxe-enabled nic's with an lzpxe-etherboot image generated
by rom-o-matic.net to boot a ltsp.org kernel, with dhcp 3 to use if statements to determine which filename
option he gives to the pxe/etherboot dhcp client.Explained at
http://www.ltsp.org/documentation/pxe.howto.html
This works perfectly, except for the fact that you can't use 1 etherboot pxe image for

Debugging gPXE -> PXELinux -> LTSP
Hi,
I'm investigating using LTSP for thin clients at my place of work, and
I've encountered a problem that I don't know how to approach. I don't
know if the problem is with gPXE, PXELinux, or the LTSP kernel, but I
think PXELinux is probably the right level to investigate it.
My situation is as follows:
I've installed the LTSP system from Ubuntu Gutsy. I've tested it

[Ltsp-discuss] Wine and sound problem
I have set up wine to play a game (This is so we can implement it in a
school to replace windows). The sound does not work on the client but if
I logon at the server and the client I get sound on the server and the
game is played on the client.
On reading Wine user guide in the section

ipconfig and boot filename option
Hi,
ipconfig is used in ltsp (thin clients) initramfs. Some of the users
have to have 2 dhcp servers in ltsp environments, so they hit on this
problem:
The first dhcp request is from the pxe rom boot code. This code
ignores any dhcp offers that don't have a filename field. So they
always get the correct address, from the ltsp server.
The second dhcp request (in initramfs) is done by

Upstream vendor's diskless vs LTSP
Hello all,
I have a customer that insists of using upstream vendor's diskless
(system-config-netboot) rather than LTSP. The reason is that he wants to use
a 100% packages from the vendor, not from LTSP or any other party.
I try the vendor's diskless system, and although it's very simple to setup, it
lacks the support and/or documentation whereas LTSP is very good in it.

DSpam plugin
I'm trying to set up Johannes's DSpam plugin for dovecot. I've
compiled rc2 and the plugin, and have things installed OK. I have a
X-DSPAM-Signature in my message that is delivered to Inbox. Whenever I
try to move this to my spam folder (I changed source to say 'Spam'
instead of 'SPAM'), my client (Thunderbird) pops up 'The current command

PXE Boot
I configure an old Compaq Deskpro workstation to boot LTSP using PXE and DHCP. I
have an error that say TFTP Open Timeout after this workstation got it IP Address

load the kernel (vmlinuz-2-4-18-ltsp-1), but after loading the kernel, there only

CentOs6 - Ltsp
Dear All,
I'm sending this mail in relation to a post on the CentOs 6 forum :
https://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=32545&start=0#forumpost139559
CentOs 6 works great so far, and I do not want to sound impatient, but
I'm eager to find out when Ltsp would be
available on CentOs6 - or even in Rhel6.
We now use Kiwi-Ltsp on OpenSuse and
