Centos 5.0 Intel G33/P35 Chipset Support (Asus P5K-VM, P5KC)
I have 2 new boxes that I cannot use yet because of problems supporting these newer chipsets in 5.1. Does anyone know when the CD version of 5.0 x86-64 that has support for these chipsets be available on any on a Centos mirror? Has the support for these chipsets been added to yum yet? Here are my latest results with these chipsets and Centos 5.1 1. Asus P5K, E6850, P35 Chipset: Does not

Looking for motherboard/chipset experience, again
What about the Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe motherboard? It has 7 SATA ports, supports ECC memory, socket AM2, generally looks very attractive for my home storage server. Except that it, and the nvidia nForce 570-SLI it''s built on, don''t seem to be on the HCL. I''m hoping that''s just "yet", not reported yet. Anybody run Solaris on it? Or at least on any

irq 9: nobody cared(try booting with the "irqpoll" option)
Hi I am getting the error : irq 9: nobody cared(try booting with the "irqpoll" option) before a kernel panic and the server reboots. Fresh installation of CentOS 5.1. I selected the virtualisation option for install and was presented with the xen kernel upon reboot. however the error mentioned comes up. The non-xen kernel works fine. I''ve googled and its seems a solution

Kernel parameter "pci=nommconf" "nophet"
Hi list I am installing a couple IBM System x3650. IBM Support advises to put "pci=nommconf" and "nophet" at installation prompt and later in grub.conf. But what those parameters do? I didn't found any technical documentation. Thanks for sharing background information about those parameters. cheers Simon -- XMPP: sjolle at swissjabber.org

So I still need both to recognize the disk and continue booting. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!

Drawing a colour wheel - bug in hcl?
Hi All, I'm trying trying to draw a colour wheel (a slice of hcl space) in R. Running the code below doesn't give me what I expect - there's some oddly bright colours of the wrong hue around c(0, 0) and I see three coloured circles (a small magenta, a medium sized yellow and a large cyan). Am I doing something wrong or is there a bug in the hcl code? (Also any suggestions for

problem with machine "freezing" for short periods
I have two HP dc7800 convertible minitowers that are exhibiting the following issue: every 5-10 minutes, they will "freeze" for about 30 seconds, and then pick right back up again. During the freeze, it seems that nothing at all happens on the system; the clock doesn't even advance (it just picks up again with the next second, and that 30-or-so seconds are lost). I've tried both

HP DL585 G2 -- no nics
Hi folks, I've just spent about six hours messing around with an HP DL585 G2 server trying to get CentOS to go. This box is a dual-CPU with dual cores and 10GB of RAM total. According to the datasheet, the POST screens, and the BIOS, it has the Broadcom embedded NICs in it. The problem boils down to the installed OS (4.4 x86_64) not seeing the NICs. If you do an lspci on the system

Re: How to assign IP via virt-install
You've not given libvirt anything to install; therefore, it has nothing it can tell about the IP address. Are you intending, for example, to add a mapping between MAC and IP address to a DHCP server for later use? - Peter On Mon, 17 Sep 2018 at 13:23, Devis Reagan Ponraj -ERS, HCL Tech < devisreagan-p@hcl.com> wrote: > Hi Team , > > I am new to virt-install , need your help
