CentOS - Aug 2007 - Kernel parameter "pci=nommconf" "nophet"

Hi list

I am installing a couple IBM System x3650. IBM Support advises to put
"pci=nommconf" and "nophet" at installation prompt and later
in
grub.conf.

But what those parameters do? I didn't found any technical
documentation. Thanks for sharing background information about those
parameters.
