"guest only" not working?
Running samba 2.2.7, I have samba acting as a PDC and
offering up print services. When the user logs into a
Win2K machine and then tries to print, they end up
sending the print job as the user they logged in as
rather than the guest user even though I have "guest
only" set on the print service (see smbconf.snitch
below). I have "guest ok" set to "no" on the PDC part

Just another pattern matching / indexing question
Hi all, thank you for your patience.
I am dealing with a large dataset detailing patients and medications
Medications are hard to code, as they are (usually) meaningless unless
matched with doses.
I have a dataframe with vectors (Drug1, Drug2..... Drug 16) and individual
patients are represented by rows.
The vectors are actually factors, with 100s of possible levels (all the
drugs the patient

imap-login hanging when firewall blocks ssl handshaking
imap-login processes are hanging (using 100% of CPU) when connected from a client that is partially blocked by a firewall. It appears that imap-login is stuck in a loop trying to complete an ssl handshake. imap-login is working fine for other clients not blocked by the firewall (including localhost).
This is dovecot 2.1.10 under Mac OS X 10.8.2 (compiled from sources); the firewall is Little

tng pdc, samba 2.2.8a fileserver
I'm using an ldap-backed TNG PDC for domain logins with no problem.
I've got a samba 2.2.8a fileserver that doesn't seem to correctly map
usernames to domain SIDS. It is passing authentication requests to the
PDC correctly, and allows users to map non-public shares, write to their
home directories, etc. When a file's "security' attributes are viewed in
windows explorer,

Problem with symlinks
I'm using samba 3.0.4 compiled from sources on a linux box (RH 7.3).
My smb.conf contains in a share section the setting:
follow symlinks = yes
In that share I created a symlink to a local file.
When I open the symlink from Windows box (the symlink appear as a
regular file) I access correctly the target file, but when I edit&save
the file, sometime the symlink is deleted and a regular

OpenSSH 7.4 p1 still can't be build without patch on Solaris 10
Hi,
OpenSSH 7.4 p1 still can't be build without patch on Solaris 10 (attached).
Pls, may be possible to add conditional compilation/configuration to
avoid manual actions before build? May be, in portable version?
Otherwise seems OpenSSH stops be portable on all platforms.
Thank you,
WBR, Yuri.

arguments imply differing number of rows
4000:6000 gives you 4000, 4001, ..., 6000. I suspect you want
population= c(seq(4000, 6000, length=5), seq(3500, 4300, length=5),
seq(3000, 3200, length=5))

arguments imply differing number of rows
Hi Team,
I using the syntax as:
data.df<- data.frame(
city= c(rep(c("Delhi", "Bangalore","Chandigarh"),each=5)),
population= c(4000:6000,3500:4300,3000:3200)
)
But i am getting the error as arguments imply differing number of rows: 15,
3003.
Tried searching google but could not understand & find the solution.
Thanks, Shivi

How to visualise what code is processed within a for loop
The loop never assigns anything to d0, only t. The first line makes t
a character string "d0$V1" (or "d0$V2" etc.). The second line assigns
either 0 or 1 to t.
Looking at this, I don't think you've got into the R psychology (bad
news if you want to use R, good news in many other ways). I assume d0
is a list, so could you put the V's into a vector, and then just use
