Samba 3.0.25 plugin changes
Greetings, Before I start digging into making our local passdb plugin work with Samba 3.0.25, is there any heads up I need to know about? I tried to compile the example plugin in samba-3.0.25/examples/pdb, but it fails. See below for a sample of the error messages. If I try to compile the same example that comes with Samba v3.0.24, the example code compiles without any issues? Any

Using rsync with the iriver T60
I was about to ask how to get this to work, but I think I might have solved it with another last look down the documentation before I clicked on the send button. I have an annoying little problem known as the iriver T60 audio player. It plays Ogg files from my PC perfectly well, but only in the same order in which it thinks they were copied onto its flash memory. It makes no attempt to sort

smbstatus -B segmentation fault
When using Samba 3.0.23b (slightly old, I know) on CentOS 4.4, smbstatus -B fails with a segmentation fault. smbstatus works, and tdbdump is able to dump brlock.tdb and locking.tdb without any errors (which is not what I expected). Here's the backtrace (non-ASCII characters replaced with 'X'): #0 0x0017fa2c in memcpy () from /lib/tls/libc.so.6 #1 0x0029b19f in tdb_write

xen test cd doesn''t boot on thinkpad t60
Hi, This might be a bug report, but I ask here before I add a bug to bugzilla: When trying to boot the xen test cd, to give you a report of the functionality of my new thinkpad T60, I experience this cd doesn''t even boot on the T60. It stops at the grub boot saying "loading stage2", never doing anything else anymore. Burned the iso multiple times, it boots on other machines,

Failed to delete entry for share
Hi All, I'm having some minor trouble with an obscure samba feature. I'm using the remote administration "Server Manager" features of smb.conf. Specifically the "add share command" "change share command" and "delete share command". I've written a small C program to do the text-processing portion of smb.conf file needed for each operation. The C

location of file-system information on ext4
Hi, I zero-filled first 10MiB of my SSD(dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda bs=10M count=1). As expected, this wiped my primary GPD header and first partition. Before the wipe, GPT was following: Disk /dev/sda: 250069680 sectors, 119.2 GiB Logical sector size: 512 bytes Disk identifier (GUID): 2EFD285D-F8E6-4262-B380-232E866AF15C Partition table holds up to 128 entries First usable sector is 34, last

CentOS 5 on a Thinkpad T60 laptop
Hello, I'm considering buying a second-hand Thinkpad T60 (with 2 GB RAM), as a secondary laptop in order to run CentOS 5 on the field. My main focus is therefore to have something robust, reliable and above all well compatible with CentOS. Hibernate / suspend feature are important to me, because that's the main issue I have with CentOS on other laptops. I have found the following

What kind of frame rate hit can I expect in wine?
I just finally succeeded in making the world of warcraft work on my thinkpad t60, but I'm getting less than 1/5th of the speed that I was getting in Windows. Is that normal? I'm getting between 5-12fps regardless of resolution or windowed mode. Core duo 2ghz, 1g ram, ATI x1400, Ubuntu Edgy. Thanks in advance.

strftime fails on POSIXct objects (PR#10695)
R 2.6.1 on a Thinkpad T60 running up-to-date Gentoo: Despite the documentation, which says: 'strftime' is an alias for 'format.POSIXlt', and 'format.POSIXct' first converts to class '"POSIXlt"' by calling 'as.POSIXlt'. Note that only that conversion depends on the time zone. strftime fails on POSIXct objects: > foo <-

pcre library in R (PR#9319)
I have the same problem, trying to cross-compile. I'm running Ubuntu Edgy, kernel 2.6.17-10-generic, on an IBM T60. I downloaded the Makefile from CRAN and ran make CrossCompileBuild with the following error messages (also ran each make one at the time and the problem occurs in make R): ../extra/pcre/libpcre.a(pcre_dfa_exec.o):pcre_dfa_exec.c:(.text+0x1703): undefined reference to

[SelectionDAG] Assertion due to MachineMemOperand flags difference.
Hello, I've hit an assertion in SelectionDAG where we try to merge 2 loads that have the same operands but their MMO flags differ. One is dereferenceable and one is not. I'm not sure what the underlying issue here is: 1) MDSDNode with the same operands should have the same flags set on their respective MMO. The fact the flags differ when the opcode, types, operands and address-space are

Use case question
Hi Guys, Can anyone provide more details about where the lag would occur if I did try to pursue a push to talk scenario with Icecast. I'm not sure exactly how it works now so I'll outline the two potential discussion flows I have in mind. Perhaps someone could elaborate on between which steps the 5-10 seconds of lag would come into play. Mumble does look like it might be a better fit
