[PATCH] Allow generic autocompleter (Ajax.Watcher)
Hey. Below is a patch to allow generic Ajax.Autocompleters. Basically
it''s for people who wanna be able to watch an input for changes, but
don''t want it to pop up an autocompleter box below. Useful for live
previews, that kind of thing.
Someone''s gonna have to fix the tabstops. I couldn''t be arse to work out

[PATCH] Effect.Accordion (not from the wiki)

In the ever-loving spirit of OSS, here''s another feature for s.a.u.
In particular it''s called Effect.Accordion, and is a scriptaculified
version of openrico''s Accordion.
Work in progress, I''ll submit further modifications as the come in, but
this is 90% of what needs to be done. I anticipate some bugs when I
start using it more.

Disabling anchor clicking in a draggable
Hey guys
I have an interesting problem - I have some draggable elements (sortable
actually), with links (<A>) inside them. I want the user to be able to
click on the link, however if the user drags the element I don''t want
the link to get fired. Can anyone think of a way to do this? It only
needs to work in Firefox.

Extending the AJAX autocompleter
Hi (I think Thomas?),
I am trying to extending the AJAX autocompleter here, and would need
to pass on additional params to the Framework I am using which is
taking on the request.
For this, I have changed the onObserverEvent function in controls.js

Performance Issues with Autocompleter
Hi All,
I am currently using script.aculo.us and Autocompleter for a project which I
am dealing now. I
faced a situation for which I couldnt find any solution and I could not see
any reference
regarding this issue in the enhancement/bug lists of script.aculo.us either.
Autocompleter component is working perfectly, if the information returned
from the server
does not exceed ~1000 LIs.

[PATCH] Allow Ajax.InPlaceCollectionEditor to load collection externally
Attached is a patch to allow Ajax.InPlaceCollectionEditor to load the
collection using AJAX.
It adds a new option, loadOptionsURL, which is the URL used to load the
values over the interweb. It expects the server to return
<option></option> values. If one of them has a selected="selected"
attribute, it will probably be pre-selected. Not tested that though.

Autocompleter enhancement feature request
Hello,
I have created a ticket for an enhancement of the autocompleter to show the
options immediately when the field gets focus. Right now at least one
character must be typed for autocomplete to kick in.

The Autocompleter, with scrollable result-div
Hi everyone
If you''ve seen this ticket, http://dev.rubyonrails.org/ticket/4782,
you''ve noticed I have tried to make scrollable autocompleter work. The
scrollIntoView works great, however the iframefix for IE didnt work in
the previous change. This is fixed now.
Also the "blur-on-scrollbar-click" should not work in both IE and
Safari (can someone confirm this?)

record the ID?

Autocompleter.Local problem/desparate plea for help...
I have been trying to write a selector function for Autocompleter.Local that
will show a predefined Array and will scroll automatically to the first
match. I have had success with with getting my list to populate and show
all of the choices, however I cannot get it to scroll to the first match.

onFailure fails?
Hi all,
I have this code:

Why does the onFailure alert never get called? It works fine if I use
a real file (onSuccess gets called).

Question about $F()
Hi Guys,
Maybe this is a stupid question, but I am confused at the moment.
The $F() function is a handy shortcut to get the value of the an input field.
So, doing something like $F(''name'') is equivalent to document.formname.name.value which is pretty cool.
Now, what if I have 2 forms on the page, that same field name "name"?
What would $F return? It does not take

Autocompleter Request depends on other field
Hi list,
First, I have a textbox "username". I also have an Autocompleter'd textbox
called "products".
Is there a "built in" way to have the Autocompleter's Ajax Request pass the
value in the "username" field ?
(I tried adding "parameters: $F('username')" to the Autocompleter's options,
but, that grabs the initial username

Upgrade server to run on Rails 2.3.2/F11
Note that one of the 8 patches (#6) will be sent separately in reply
to this email, as some of the replaced lines are too long, so git
won't let me send the email. However, there is nothing wrong with
that patch, and it should be applied in the sequence listed below.
Note also that I assume this will be tested on a clean f11 install, rather
than an upgrade of an existing ovirt server

Prototype Inheritance example

I am working on a control collection for javascript/Ajax.Net. I am stuck on
the class inheritance aspects of the prototype library. If someone could
point me to an example it would be a great help. I have looked through the
controls.js of the scriptaculous library and found something like the below
