Effect.SlideDown/Up() and HTML issues
Hello,
I''m hoping this is the right place to ask these kind of questions. If not,
please excuse me. Anyway, the problem I''m having is that I have a HTML table
showing some tabular data and I want to use Effect.SlideDown/Up to allow the

Hi there, im having a problem with the Ajax.Updater, im using the
Ajax.Updater to get an divider, inside the div i have a javascript node that
i use to do javascript stuff, the problem is when i get the divider i get
whole the html but not the javascript node, thats a bug?

That technique will not work for this case.
By default, the response element is passed in to the onComplete handler
as the first argument. Basically, all ''bind'' does it let you bind the
''this'' element to the function, so when you reference this.whatever in

Rapid Ajax requests out of order
I''m trying to write an ajax chat. I''m noticing that when ajax requests
are fired off
in rapid succession, they often will arrive out of order to the
server. Has anyone
experienced this problem, and perhaps implemented some kind of queueing system?

turning revert off after being dropped
I have a container ''A'' which contains Draggables and a Droppable ''Trash''. These
Draggables are set with ''revert:true''. Now, if a Draggable from ''A'' is dropped
in the Trash, I don''t want it to revert, I want it to just disappear.

Problem with toQueryParams()
I''m sure this has been covered before, but here goes...
Anybody noticing some odd behavior with submitting forms through
Ajax.Request? I thought at first it was a problem with Form.serialize,
but was able to trace it back to line #975 (in prototype 1.5.1_rc2)
which calls "toQueryParams" on the parameters that are passed into the

Sortable callback, when dragging starts/stops
Hi *,
is there a callback or something else to get noticed, if the user starts
(stops) to drag an element of a sortable? I only found the onUpdate and
onChange callbacks, but they don''t give the information I need.

Some cryptic error in IE
Hello,
I am using Sarissa v 0.9.7.6 and prototype v 1.5. In ajax application,
I am retrieving xml string from a local servlet and displaying it using xslt
processing by sarissa. This works perfectly well in FF, however it gives
bunch of error in IE. I have posted same type of problem quite few days back
and I stopped using Sarissa. Now I need to use Sarissa so any help would be

iframe ... does it have an innerHTML ?
If I dynamically create a hidden iframe, how could I add a document in a
string to that element?
e.g.,

Drag Drop problem with Div using overflow:auto
There seems to be a problem with dragging an object outside a div if using overflow:auto on the div style.
My problem is the same as the one described in the following thread but the responder''s "fix" did not work for me. Is there a fix for this problem?

Result Documents XML or JSON?
My Java servlets can generate both JavaScript objects, like
JSON, and XML. I can generate both pretty easily.
What''s best practice for AJAX responses? Return scripts to be
evaled by the Ajax control, or return XML documents and iterate
them using XML DOM?

The Rails book talks about running Rails under Apache, but is there a
(relatively) easy way to deploy it to either Tomcat or JBoss? Is the CGI
servlet the only option?
