X100P in a soekris 4801
Hi All, I have a Soekris 4801 running Asterisk and I tried to add a X100P FXO card only to find that the Soekris will not boot with the card installed. The LEDs flash for a second and then nothing, it does not boot. I've tried 2 different X100p cards, both of which work in a regular desktop system, and still have no luck. I tried a different Soekris 4801 with no luck. I've also tried a

Is this a problem with pxelinux or a Soekris bios?
Hello, Recently I have discovered a problem with serial console output when net-booting a Soekris net5501 board via pxe. When using pxelinux.0 from syslinux 4.04 package I get only 15 characters from the output, then the carriage returns back to the same line over and over again, making it impossible to read the output. What is more the booting process (trying configuration files with

soekris hadware
Hi group, i'm brand new and i would like to ask about soekris hardware. I read along the web but i have some doubts that i think can be solved here. My question are the following: 1) does the Digium TDM400P fit in the soekris box with a 4801 SBC or a bigger box is needed? Any suggestions about where to pick up another box? 2) does the Digium TDM100P (already discontinued) fits fine in a

E1 + sangoma + soekris
Hi, I am still struggling with the E1 card!!!! Does anyone has some experience with sangoma E1 card? I have this card in soekris net 4801. First I was runnig it with deactivated DMA and I was receiving overruns (even with no channels in use). Then I enabled the DMA. Now I have the overruns only during a call. When I'm using more than one channel, the voice is stuttering and the delay is very

Recent (6.02) PXELINUX on Soekris net4501
Dear all, I'm trying to boot a recent PXELINUX on a brand new Soekris net4501 (comBIOS 1.33). This combination appears to not work out of the box... I see much advice floating around from a few years ago, hinting that earlier versions of PXELINUX might have worked. However before resorting to archaeology I'd be interested in feedback from others who might have got through this. I

7.1-stable (righ after release) locks up on soekris net5501 every day
Hello, Freebsd-stable. I installed 7.1-STABLE on my new Soekris net5501. Kernel config is in attach. This unit lock up in strange way every day. It is pingable, but no access to host on any network protocol (sshd, named, etc are not answering), and serial console (only one this unit has) DOESN'T ANSWER too! Only way to un-freeze it is cold reboot. I've thought, it is

Asterisk on Soekris
I thought I saw a Soekris embedded in the Digium booth photos, can you run Asterisk on one of these? How? I'd be interested in it for a back pbx, given the reliability. In fact, might want to move my home pbx to this also. Chris Mason

Soekris net45xx initialization hang
I'm working with a Soekris net45xx SBC and I'm experiencing problems using any syslinux code (syslinux, pxelinux, extlinux) above version 2.20. I'm interfacing with the Soekris via the serial console port, which is the primary bios console. I've tried different configurations with setting serial in the config file, but no change (though I dont even thing it's getting to reading

And indeed pxelinux.0 goes much further than lpxelinux.0! I have a few issues yet to fix: * Undef symbol FAIL: __syslinux_debug_enabled (I must have done something wrong while building) * find proper fix for

Soekris net4801-50 + IAXY
Hi, I'm having an issue with a soekris net4801 board and a S101i "IAXy" device. When I connect a successfully provisioned IAXy directly via a crossover cable into an ethernet port of the soekris, the link led turns on orange so i'ts 10Mb and the activity led blinks like if there is some action going on but when I try 'tcpdump -nettti sis1' I see nothing going on, no

Soekris net4801 and IAXy dhcp issue
Hi all, I have a Soekris net4801-50 board with OpenBSD 3.9 where I've configured a dhcp server and tested it with a regular PC connected directly via a crossover cable with success. The problem comes when I try to connect my IAXy device instead of the PC. I can see with 'tcpdump -nettti sis1' that the IAXy isn't sending any packets to the dhcp server. I thought my IAXy was bad

Digium TDM400P in Soekris net5501-70?
Hello - I've been running Asterisk (quite happily!) for several years now using a Digium TDM400P card in an old Linux box (P4 1.6 w/ 256MB RAM). I'm also running another old PC running m0n0wall as a firewall. Between these two boxes, that run 24x7, I'm drawing a lot more power than needed and hoping to make a dent in my monthly electric bill by consolidating the two into a single box
