compiz aiglx fbconfig-depth-fix seg-fault
glXGetVisualFromFBConfig(dpy, fbConfigs[j]) returns a null pointer
I'm up to date on drm, mesa, xserver and ati driver.
Compiz seems to work fine, though, if I just don't apply the
fbconfig-depth-fix patch. I'm not sure if I'm missing anything, though,
because I'm not running gnome and obviously some of the effects won't
work.
I get nothing without Kristian's

reason for bad performance on i915 (AIGLX)
Greetings everybody!
For about two weeks I'm now a happy owner of an intel-powered laptop
(chipset, wifi, gfx) and wanted to give it a full test-drive of compiz
and other GL-intensive programs.
The laptop runs Xorg 7.1.1 and the i810 driver that comes with it
(stock rpm from FC6). I'm forced to start compiz 0.3.4 with these
options...

Not sure I understand when add user script is called
I've built a domain member. It works pretty good with the exception
that I want on-the-fly home directories being built. I'm not sure this
is doable with a domain member as everything I've tried isn't even
called - as far as I can tell. Using log level 3.
If anyone can shed light on how to dynamically create home directories,
that'd be great.
anyway, here's my

Hard time installing printers 3.4.8
Hello, been googling this for a while. Read GD's presentation on why
printing is such a pain...
Anyway, I'm using 3.4.8 on Freebsd 8.1 I've tried a few combinations -
best luck is with 3.2.5, but I'd like to move forward a bit.
So, I've got the ADS part working pretty good. happy with how that's going.
my problem is when I attempt to load printer drivers.

I should add that I also have PrintMotd off so that the motd is
printed only once, and yes, I am connecting with the SSH 2 protocol.

Fedora Patches
Hi,
We've been fixing a few bugs and glitches in our fedora compiz rpm and
I wanted to post them here for review, in the hope that we could get
them included before the upcoming release. Without further ado:
cow.patch - add support for using the composite overlay window for
GL output instead of rendering to the root window. This is lets
compiz run on AIGLX without the

video plugin?
Hello,
I updated to current git and find the video plugin.
What exactly is it supposed to do?
I want to test it but I don't know exactly what to test....
Enabling it did not make any difference (it loaded successfully).

compiz composited video and alpha only GLX pixmaps
I've added a simple plugin to compiz that provides a way to render video
efficiently on a composited desktop.
A video playback client basically copies video data to a pixmap and sets
an X property on a client window that describes the image format of the
data and where it should be rendered.
The compiz video plugin will scale and perform necessary colorspace
conversions when compositing the

So, to make it simple, my domain is KRH, I am successfully joined, and
can issue wbinfo -u or wbinfo -g and get expected results. Every query
I make about the domain works
However, I'm trying to add a domain user (me) to my local Print

Hi,
I have a couple of problems with compiz and I would appreciate assistance.
I have compiled compiz version 02 successful however when I try to run compiz this is displayed in console /usr/bin/compiz: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is missing

SAMBA / CUPS Printserver
Okay, I've got some progress now. Have fairly decent printserver
working. I've been able to reproduce the same postive and negative
results in two physical servers and now (finaly destination) a vmware
server.
What's working:
ADS integration, this is a domain member
Printer driver installation (for a few drivers)
Printer installation / removal
Printing.

samba shares fail after active directory reboot
We have a samba server that uses active directory security. We have three active directory servers and use a dfs namespace (test.local) to encompass those three servers. We currently are using password server = TEST.local, but have had all three AD servers listed, but it has not helped.
Whenever ANY of those servers go down for maintenance, the samba shares do not come up and restarting the

AIGLX + r300 + compiz?
So I've spent the last few days getting Xorg pulled from freedesktop git
and built. Everything seems to have worked, and I now have Xorg version
7.1.99.2 running, composite enabled, and AIGLX enabled. The Xorg log
file shows:
(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x23
(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x24

AIGLX problem
Hey everyone,
I followed the guide InstallNouvea from the wiki. Installing the driver
was a walk in the park. However, I do notice these lines in my Xorg.0.log:
(EE) AIGLX error: dlopen of /usr/lib/dri/nouveau_dri.so failed
(/usr/lib/dri/nouveau_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such
file or directory)
(EE) AIGLX: reverting to software rendering

Compiz on AIGLX
Last night I reworked compiz-aiglx patch from Kristian H?gsberg to get
it working (i.e. patching and running) with latest compiz cvs. Most
plugins and features are working again now : wobbly, minimize, resize,
cube, rotate, move, fade, scale, place, zoom.
However the last two plugins, switcher and decoration are broken.
Decoration just draws nothing, I found that the problematic function
call is

White Boarders in AIGLX on non-decorated window types
A patch was submitted to the ML a while ago that cured the problem with
white boarders in Gtk-Window-Decorator. Can this patch be commited or be a
at least fixed up to work with AIGLX?

AIGLX Support with nVidia 9625 Drivers
Hello,
I'm on a Gentoo machine with the latest beta nVidia 9625 Drivers,
trying to get Compiz to work with AIGLX... simply running 'compiz', or
even with the addition of any options other than version, causes
compiz to detect that it is indeed not XGL, and then segmentation
faults... please note that I have only currently tried this with

0.3.7 packages for openSUSE - hopefully working out-of-the-box with AIGLX now
Hi all,
I just uploaded new packages to openSUSE.org. If everything turns out
well this package is the first to work out-of-the-box on
- AIGLX: intel, radeon, ...
- NVIDIA native
- Xgl: intel, radeon(?), nvidia, fglrx, ...
Especially Xgl is the only possibility for ATI proprietary driver users.
Tested on Xgl, still works, AIGLX hasn't been verified yet, but the
source changed only for
