Zaptel modules load, but Asterisk fails at startup
I'm running Asterisk on a Gentoo box with the Zaptel 1.2.1 drivers. If I boot the machine without having the wcfxs module autoload, then install the module with modprobe, asterisk works just fine. If I boot the machine and autoload the wcfxs module, the module loads fine: > Jan 11 11:06:55 asterisk Zapata Telephony Interface Registered on major 196 > Jan 11 11:06:55 asterisk ACPI: PCI

Samba4 and NVSv4
Short story: cannot get Kerberized NFSv4 to work. I've googled a great deal and cannot find where I have goofed (and there sure is a lot of misleading and just plain incorrect information out there), so would appreciate another pair of eyes. NFSv4 without Kerberos does work fine, as does ID mapping. We're using NFSv4 in production with sec=sys, but I'm not happy with that. My

Maybe I will demote DC2 and join it again. > Check if you actually have dns

Strange DNS results
Samba 4.0.0, CentOS 6.4, bind 9.9 DLZ. I could use some help debugging a strange DNS issue. I have two Samba4 domain controllers, dc-1.europa.icse.cornell.edu and dc-2.europa.icse.cornell.edu. On either dc-1 or dc-2 or any client host: # host dc-1.europa.icse.cornell.edu dc-2 dc-1.europa.icse.cornell.edu has address 192.168.15.250 dc-1.europa.icse.cornell.edu has address 192.168.3.250

imbalanced classes
Hi Andy, I know this topic has been discussed before on the R-help, but I was wondering if you could offer some advice specific to my application. I'm using the R random forest package to compare two classes of data, the number of cases in each class relatively low, 28 in class 1 and 9 in class 2. I'd really like to use R environment to analyze this data, however I'm finding it

Primer for working with survey data in R
Dear Kevin, In addition to the advice you've received, take a look at the survey package. It's not quite what you're asking for, but in fact it's probably more useful, in that it provides correct statistical inference for data collected in complex surveys. The package is described in an article, T. Lumley (2004), Analysis of complex survey samples, Journal of Statistical Software

Fairmount Academy: October classes forming NOW!
Become a Pennsylvania Real Estate Agent There are many different reasons to become a real estate agent. Many like to work with different types of people. Some want to set their own schedules. Others are interested in buying real estate for themselves and think that agents have access to ?the best deals.? No matter what your motivations, Fairmount Academy can make sure that you have the best

TKEY is unacceptable
Samba 4.1.1 using BIND_DLZ (bind-9.9.1-0.1.P2) on CentOS 6.5 x86_64. I have two domain controllers, dc-1 and dc-2, which each have three network interfaces. Selinux is in permissive mode, and iptables is off. One interface on each dc is to be shut down. So, on dc-1, I do: # nsupdate -g update delete europa.icse.cornell.edu A 192.168.3.250 update delete europa.icse.cornell.edu A 192.168.3.251

DFS redirection to sub-folders beyond share
Hi, I already posted this to smb-clients, but I believe that is a very low volume list. We have a very complicated dfs root. Now I'm not positive that this is how we should have done things, but it works very well with Windows clients, so it hasn't been thought about here. This does not work with smbclient or smbmount. I'm using freshly built smbclient from Samba 3.0.21a.

Putting together a constantly evolving package
Hi all, I'm putting together some common code + data into a custom package, everything is working out fine, but the ``R CMD INSTALL MyPackage`` call seems to take a particularly long time in the "**data" step: $ R CMD INSTALL MyPackage/ * installing to library ?/Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Resources/ library? * installing *source* package ? MyPackage? ... ** R ** data

Using ActiveSupport's autoload_at
After discovering http://api.rubyonrails.org/classes/ActiveSupport/Autoload.html I thought it''d be nice if we could replace our zillion occurences of: autoload :Something, ''some_path/something'' with: autoload_at ''some_path'' do autoload :Something end But I keep getting undefined method autoload_at. I tried digging - ActionSupport::Autoload is

What is the one thing that polycom can do...
On the landing page of the Polycom web site there's a "We're listening" nanosurvey, asking what is the one thing Polycom can do to improve their products. The link points here: http://polycom.zuberance.com/survey.htm I wrote a sentence about tweaking the user interface on the IP Soundpoint series phones, so that one can escape any level of any menu with repeated pressing of the

Hi all, As you probably know, we’ll meet on the first day of the conference, right before lunch, to discuss about a possible move of our hosting to Git/GitHub, and consider the various options and associated tradeoff (Schedule entry here: http://sched.co/8Yzj <http://sched.co/8Yzj> ) I’d like to remind you that the detail of the proposals and the variants is online here:

Initial setup problems on Ubuntu edgy (06.10)
Good day, After having lurked for a while I''ve decided to actually start using puppet starting on my small home network. I''ve been following : http://reductivelabs.com/trac/puppet/wiki/InstallationGuide and :- http://www.howtoforge.com/installing_puppet_on_ubuntu to test puppet on 2 hosts, librarian running the puppetmasterd and mortvm. Unfortunately, I
