RE: Form.serialize and Ajax.Request->fileserialization and encoding
I''d bet money that they use a hidden iframe. Gmail already uses that to
avoid breaking the back button, from what I''ve read. It''s impossible to
send multipart form data through XMLHttpRequest, or so everything I read
says and my own personal attempts confirm. There is an IE ActiveX
plugin that will let you send files in a similar fashion, but it''s IE
only. I

Visual Fox Pro 9 with dBase tables
Hi everyone. I have a though one here.
In a friend's company they use n accounting and POS software which was designed by someone that passed away. The problem is that he doesn't have much money right now, thus can't license windows and MSoffice in his office.
I offered him the possibility of using Linux (Mint or Ubuntu) and having him run the software on Wine.
This is the software

RE: Form.serialize and Ajax.Request ->fileserialization and encoding
I''ve not looked into how it''s done but adding an attachment in Gmail (UK version) uploads the file without refreshing the window, and http://www.yousendit.com <http://www.yousendit.com/> appears to send a file via some sort of RPC or AJAX. Maybe this could be another starting point for you.

Markdown speaks to a project I've engaged for nearly a decade. Ever
since I cobbled up an Apple Newton keyboard to connect to my Pilot
5000, I wanted to type plain text with formatting for later printing.
Class notes and such. Once I wrote a complex WordPerfect script using
custom markup. For a while I wrote raw TeX, relying on a macro file to
simplify things only a little.

distribution of peaks in random data results
Dear all,
I have the positions of N points spread through some sequence of length L (L>N), and I would like to know how can do the following:
1- Permute the positions of the N points along the whole sequence.
Assuming a uniform distribution I did: position1 <- runif(N, 1, L)
2- Apply a kernel convolution method to the resulting permuted points profile.
For this I applied the

similar instructions with disjoint register files
I'm working on a backend for a target with multiple functional units, each with a dedicated register file. Several instructions can operate on any one of the functional units. For example there is an add instruction on the A unit that adds two A registers, and another on the D unit that adds two D registers, but neither can use the other's registers. From a selection point of view either

Two matrix loop
Hi,
I'm trying to create a distance matrix. And it works out somewhat ok. However, I suspect that there are
some efficiency issues with my efforts. Plz have a look at this:
donor <- matrix(c(3,1,2,3,3,1,4,3,5,1,3,2), ncol=4)
receiver <-
matrix(c(1,4,3,2,4,3,1,5,1,3,2,1,4,5,3,5,1,3,2,4,5,1,2,3,1,4,5,5,1,2,1,3,4,3,2,5,5,1,4,2,5,4,3,2), ncol=4)
The above creates my two matrices. I have

Queue application strategy
I am using rrmemory for my queues. I have noticed that the application
will only distribute or dial one number at a time. Is there a different
strategy that will allow the queue to distribute more than one call at a
time? I don't want to use ringall because that would tie up thirteen of
my trunks every time it tried to distribute a call. Any thoughts?

ho do I encode multi channel flacs
Hi, maybe this has already been discussed already.. I _did_ search the
archives, found no solution...
I have a 4.1 channel track, I rip it to 5 separate mono wav files.
Is it possible to encode these independant files to one single multi-channel
flac file with flac?
I heard a bit about ripping to wav, converting all mono tracks to flac
separately (i had to use --channel-map=none to get this to

sending same packet stream over both links

I have an application requirement that hints at the use of multicast,
but I think it can be solved without it.

There is a UDP stream from the [sender] that needs to reach both the
receivers. Is it possible to direct the stream to the

some issue with libpri cant go past 1.4.1
I have a working system with asterisk 1.4.26.2 libpri 1.4.1 and zaptel
1.4.12.1
With a digium TE205p.
I am trying to update to libpri 1.4.10.2. When I do, incoming calls work
but outgoing does not.
When I do this I "rm /usr/lib/libpri*" then just install libpri-1.4.10.2
as normal.
I then do a make clean in asterisk and make distclean ,then configure,
make and make install.
I do
