Trying to run StarUML
Hi,
I'm trying to run StarUML (an OpenSource UML-Tool,
http://www.staruml.com/) with wine, but it won't work. Maybe you can help
me to fix this.
The installer works just fine until the very end of the installation.
That's where it brings up the following error:
,---
| C:\Program Files\StarUML\Pgmr101.ocx
|
| Unable to register the DLL/OCX: LoadLibrary failed; code 126.

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] Do you use UML utility programs?
Hi Sean Silva and people on our list,
>> What tools did you use to generate the diagrams for the klang documentation?
I use StarUML. ( http://staruml.sourceforge.net/en/ )
I mentioned about this earlier before on this mail-list.
It's a Windows only application and free software.
It is good SW. But development is stopped since long ago.
The product was originally a commercial one. But

agnes() in package cluster on R 2.14.1 and R 3.0.1
Dear R users,
I discovered something strange using the function agnes() of the cluster
package on R 3.0.1 and on R 2.14.1. Indeed, the clusterings obtained are
different whereas I ran exactly the same code.
I quickly looked at the source code of the function and I discovered that
there was an important change: agnes() in R 2.14.1 used a FORTRAN code
whereas agnes() in R 3.0.1 uses a C code.

Multiply and format with thousands separator
I have just started with Ruby and Rails and am still greatly confuse,
finding the usual tutorials not much help.
What I want to do is take two numbers from my database, multiply them
together and display them in a list with a comma for the thousands
separator. This would be very easy to do in a spreadsheet, so I assumed
it would be easy to do in Ruby on Rails but I can''t work out how.

I''ve been installing the system yesterday and it''s working good,
performances on athlon are good and I''m satisfied but I have two questions..
a) which editor to use?
b) is there any *session disabled*

Making a backend-centric application
Is Rails usable for a backend/server-centric application? The
application is supposed to just sit there and grab data from various
sources at certain times, process them, stuff them in a database.
These data will then be presented in different ways, via a web-
frontend, webservices (rest), json and such.
Would Rails be a usable way to do this, or should I go a different
route? If so, what route

q no ordena.

RSpec for dummies screencast?
Does anyone know of any RSpec screencasts for dummies, like me :)
I have a Java background, but I have never written a java test in my
life. I''ve never learned about TDD or BDD so I''m totally blank on
everything that has anything to do with testing and stuff.
Where should I start?!? ;)

llamado resuu:
Letra Suelo result
1 a 2 23
2 b 2 15
3 c 2 36
4 a 3 20
5 b 3 2
6 c 3 36
7 a 2 32
8 b 2 25
9 c 3 32
...

Point and print drivers install from a Win2000 box
Hello, all !
I'm setting up a print server with Samba and Cups. All goes fine, until I
try to upload the drivers from a Win2000 box to the Samba server: The
driver files are copied to the correct directory ([PRINT$]/W32X86/...),
and everyone seems to be happy... Until I click on the "OK" button: I
then get a message saying:
"The printer parameters could not be saved. Acces

Question re RHEL 5.3
I've heard now from more than one source about problems with CentOS
(and RH) at least up through 5.2 w.r.t. SATA drive handling, and I've
even reported on this myself in this list before.
My question is, do we have any idea if 5.3 has any improvements in this area?
One of my cohorts here, who happens to be a Fedora fan, says that
these problems are fixed in F9, but I have grave concerns

DNase1 <- subset(DNase, Run == 1)
fm1DNase1 <- nls(density ~ SSlogis(log(conc), Asym, xmid, scal), DNase1)
summary(fm1DNase1)

abstract_class... what exactly does it do
Hi,
Does anyone know much about abstract_class? Does it actually prevent
instances of the class from being created? Does it disable certain
methods? I already know what it''s for, but I want to know what setting
self.abstract_class=true actually does.
The reason I ask is that I want to use it for a slightly unorthodox
purpose. I want a class who''s only attributes are its
