"IN" en data.table
Hola a todos.
¿Es posible filtrar casos en data.table por más de una categoría al mismo
tiempo? Algo así como un IN o similar, dónde IN puede entenderse como
"existe en":
datos[Provincia IN c("CATAMARCA", "CHACO", "CORRIENTES"), FORM]
O sea: una forma abreviada de hacer:

Strange problem with X11 forwarding...
Ok...
This could be cockpit error, but I just don't see it. I've
installed OpenSSH 2.1.0 and I can't get X11 forwarding to work. I
don't recall having this problem under 1.2.3, but I don't use X11
forwarding often enough to really say that I actually saw it work
either.
Both sides are running OpenSSH-2.1.0-1 installed from rpm.
The client side is running RedHat Linux 6.1

Animation problem
Using the animation package, I am trying to show fish movement over a jpeg of
our study area. I want to show fish detection at each of 5 sites on each day
they are detected. Each of the five fish species will have their own color
(not coded yet). I am able to create the animation, though the data is not
plotting correctly, and I feel that the problem lies with a loop that I
can't seem to

How do I read a text (.csv) file to match a matrix/cross tab? (Object confusion??)
I'm having a problem reading data to set control totals for a dataframe.
I want to adjust a dataframe based on a 2-d table of values, which I get
by using :
> CurrentX1Sums <- as.matrix(xtabs(~tripid_nu+lineon, data=SurveyData))
> CurrentX2Sums <- apply(CurrentX1Sums, 1, sum)
I've created a .csv file with new (target) sums that looks like this:
tripid_nu Warner

Trying to "expand" some data - Newbie needs help
I want to calculate "expansion factors" for elements in my dataframe
based on a 2-d cross classification. Since I'll have "missing values"
(many combinations will have no record) I'll need a second "expansion
factor" for each "row". I've included my "work to date" below, but I'm
not very close to getting this right.

Galactic Civilizations
Hi,
I'm trying to run the game Galactic Civilizations [http://
www.galciv1.com/] on my Ubuntu 6.10 system. Setup seemed to run fine,
but running "wine galciv.exe" shows the initial videos (Strategy First
splash, Stardock splash, game FMV intro), but then the screen flashes
and crashes to the desktop, with desktop resolution changed to
1024x768 (usually 1280x1024). I'm guessing

Why are these different?
I want to import some "target values" to normalize elements of a
dataframe. I'm summarizing the existing totals using
as.matrix(xtabs(~tripid_nu+lineon, data=SurveyData)) and reading a .csv
table of target values. I can't even get them to list out as similar
data items.
My idea is to do something like this, but I don't know how to do it in R

Friday April 20th Asterisk Users Conference at 12:30PM EDT
Hello again,
Mark Spencer will be joining us for questions on at least one of these
conferences (we've discussed this and he is definitely onboard with
the concept), but his schedule is such that we can't *promise* he'll
be there this week. I haven't heard back from him about today, but
I'll try to call him right before the conf to remind him. Mark's very
busy, so thanks

Sangoma FXO/FXS cards?
Saw an ad in the latest Linux Journal for Sangoma's FXO/FXS analog cards.
it was part of an ad for a reseller. I can't find anything on the
resellers site or Sangoma's site either. Did the ad jump the gun or
someting? Is this for real?

dialing 0 in directory()
I've got a context in my dialplan like so but pressing 0 doesn't seem
to be working. Instead of dropping out to the "o" extension, it's
just returning to the start of the direcotry app. Same with star.
Anyone see where I've gone awry?

generating ordered, random decimal fractions
Greetings
How do I do this in R? Checking the Cran site produces a bewildering array
of packages that I can't seem to find to load. Surely the main program has
this function?
Cheers

Strange Inbound Ring Handling
Got a wierd one that's reminding me of a problem mentioned in an earlier
post but for the life of me, I can't find it. So...
Inbound calls via a Voicetronix interface on my Asterisk box are being
properly detected and routed to my dialplan as expected. It's a simple
plan right now that rings a few internal Voicetronix and SIP stations.
When the inbound line rings, it's ringing

Bullet-proof FXO?
Been using a few different FXO interfaces (X100P, Voicetronix, and
SPA-3000) at a couple sites and they've all run into nasty issues at
times. I'm looking at moving one of my offices and am in the market for
a solution for connecting 4 FXOs. I got excited about recent offerings
from Digium and Sangoma in the way of new cards but I hear they're
causing troubles for more than a few.
