Howto get playtime
Hi, Searched in Google, browsed xiph vorbis sites but found no good information about how to get the current playtime out of the granuleposition of the ogg_packet. Anyone knows if there is any 'Programming with libvorbis' documentation out there, cause on xiph's site (http://www.xiph.org/vorbis/doc/) there's nothing :( Any help? THX, Tom

Ogg: correspondence between playtime and file offset
Hi, I have modified fenice(streaming server) and mplayer(media client) code to support for ogg container(vorbis+theora). Now I have to implement forward and rewind of an ogg(vorbis+theora)file by time. So I would like to do file seek to start reading the file from that position. Eg:- mplayer will send +10 secs to forward request to fenice through RTSP and fenice should read and send packets from

Agile Web Development - 2nd Edition -- Iteration D3 problem
hi, This is regarding the "Depot Application". Section 9.3, Iteration D3 -- Highlighting Changes. I''ve followed this exactly according to the PDF, but it doesn''t work. The Ajax cart works, the blind_up and blind_down works. But couldn''t get the highlighting of the current item to work. Tested in Opera 9, FireFox 1.5 and IE 6 -- no luck !! I even

Preface to Agile 2nd edition book available?
So, is there a summary of the changes since the first edition? It would be helpful to see just exactly what in Ruby on Rails has changed before ordering the second edition of the book. Could somebody briefly describe changes to Rails since the version covered in the first edition of the book?

Agile Web Development book - version 4.0 released
I don''t know if I missed this on the list, but the Agile Web Development with Rails book is now at version 4.0, for those of us who bought the PDF from the Prag Prog site. Just a few typos and corrections from the looks of it, but can''t hurt to get the latest. You can reorder the book for download at: http://books.pragprog.com/titles/rails/reorder Cheers, Tom

Re: hyperlinks in Agile Web Development with Rails 1.1
My vote is that you maintain the hyperlinks! While working through the book, the code hyperlinks are essential to make sure one knows which version of depotNN is being referred to at the moment, for example, and as a convenient way of reviewing the code. And it is very useful to jump to in-depth references. I found the hyperlinks very helpful. cheers, Victor Kane http://awebfactory.com.ar

Web Services testing... Agile Book p. 435
I am attempting to test the web services added during chapter 20 of the Agile book. Noob Question concerning code in Agile Web Development with Rails
Hi, I''m currently learning Ruby on Rails using "Agile Web Development with Rails." I am using RadRails as my development environment. Everything has been going along well, until the end of chapter 7. Just before the end of the chapter, we set up our store pages so that they can be styled with the depot.css stylesheet. This is where I run into my problem. The stylesheet

[ADV] Second Edition of Agile Web Development, with Rails
Oops, I guess wishful thinking got the best of me ;-) (I misread the part about the PDF upgrades) > Maybe the easiest solution is to buy the PDF ? You can then upgrade it for free when a new edition comes out. Agile Rails (1st edition), depot TDD "exercise"
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I''ve been working my way through the Agile book and just completed the depot sample application. I learned quite a bit along the way. On page 171 we are led through the creation of a test (that fails) for new code. The new code (a search function) is left as an exercise for the reader. Well, I think I solved it but I''m not

The Agile Book Messageboard?
Hello. Where is there an Agile Messageboard? On the first part of the Depot example, a price field shouldn''t be an integer right? (it should be more of a float since a price has decimals) Dominic Son -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.
