masquerade and mac problem
Hello guys
I don''t know if this thing has been posted before (if it was , please forgive me).
I have 7 computers at home and I want all of them to have access to the internet. In order to do that , I set up a linux router (2 network cards) as a usual router (eth0 : 82.77.69.75 - internet connection ; eth1 : 192.168.10.1 - local network) . The other computers have ips ranging from

Question from XM Radio
Thanks Jim, that's understood. When I say AMBE isn't working well, I
only mean from the audience acceptance point of view. Technically it is
fine. It is exactly doing the job we had expected.
It's the long standing wish that everyone wants... More for less. We
are just seeking a bit of magic that just may not be there. Ideally

libwrap-ing IMAP and POP logins
Since I've been using this for maybe a year now, maybe someone else is interested in restricting IMAP and POP logins via libwrap.
In addition to the attached patch (against 1.0.5) to src/login-common/main.c, src/{imap,pop3}-login/Makefile.in have to be modified to link against libwrap.
Of course, the option needs to be integrated into configure in the long run.

Polycom Reboot Script
Hello, I'm trying to setup the revised Polycom remote reboot script as
found on:
http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Polycom+reboot+hardphone+script
I'm not sure how to use this script, it's just a perl script, so I tried
creating an executable perl script and running it, but I get the following:
[root@asterisk1 agi-bin]# ./polycom_reboot.pl 192.168.3.205

Question from XM Radio
Thanks for the reply. We are currently using AMBE (4Kbps) for our Traffic/Weather Channels. If you have ever had a chance to hear the service, you will know that AMBE does not do us well.
I understand that 2Kbps is low quality, but any poorer than AMBE?
If can get a decent quality for other low bandwidth talk channels, such as about 10-16Kbps and have it sound rather clean, then I would be

SIP REGISTER script
Some of you have unusual SIP configurations, and this SIP perl script
may be useful to get remote devices registering with your Asterisk or
other SIP server. Most Cisco routers, as an example, are too stupid
to REGISTER, so this script would be required to dynamically register
them with a remote server. This may not be 100% applicable to
Asterisk, since static registrations are possible,

Polycom Reboot Script - Please wiki-size me
With my thanks to Brian West and his offering in the thread,
"Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] Remote reload Cisco 7960"
I offer PolyReboot.pl, a perl script for rebooting Polycom IP Phones
PolyReboot.pl takes an IP address as a single argument and reboots the
phone.
You must have a cfg file in the Polycom style, i.e., 00ab00cd00ef.cfg - all
lower case. Further,
you need to use ftp for

Problems with AUTH=PLAIN in pop3
I'm using Dovecot (1.0.10) locally to test SugarCRM. When I tried to set
up a mail account in Sugar, it complains with
--
SECURITY PROBLEM: insecure server advertised AUTH=PLAIN
Please check your settings and try again.

don't know if that behaviour is a bug or a feature of php-imap. The case
is that I'm unable to set up the mail account in Sugar.

question on autch cache parameters
Hi list,
I have a question on auth caching in 2.2.18.
I am using acl_groups for a master user, appended in a static userdb file
# snip ###############################
master at uma:{SHA}XXXX=::::::userdb_acl_groups=umareadmaster
allow_nets=127.0.0.1
# snap ###############################
and use this group in a global ACL file.
I discovered this only works on first NOT-cached login

Trying to install CentOS 4.4 as a domU
Hi all,
Few days ago I installed a CentOS 5 domU on a xen-box with CentOS 5 dom0
also. All worked fine; I used virt-install assistant and I created a
local http repo for increase the process speed.
I've tried to do the same with CentOS 4.4 domU, but always I get an
error relationated with unavailable HTTP resource.
It's curious... so I downloaded the x86_64 complete DVDs for 5 and

Speex, ACELP, G.729
Hello Jean-Marc:
I've been watching the speex development from its inception because I
and several Tech Startup Connection members have a very important
application for this voice encoding/decoding. Further, we are quite
familiar with ACELP as implemented in G.729. As far as I know Speex
is also ACELP ... yes/no?
Question ... what do you see as the advantages of ACELP compared to
MP3? I

Hello
Thank you for your report. We really appreciate it, especially when you can pinpoint a commit.
However, I am unable to reproduce this. Could you post your doveconf -n please? Im especially interested in your passdb and
userdb configurations and auth-cache settings.

v2.0 configuration parsing
I'm trying to figure out how exactly v2.0 should be parsing
configuration files. The most annoying part is if it should always just
"use whatever comes first in config" or try some kind of a "use most
specific rule". The "most specific" kind of makes more sense initially,
but then you start wondering how to handle e.g.:
1) User logs in to imap from 192.168.0.1.
