Yes sure here they are: The first one that i have received 2day and does not work almost at all: #!/bin/bash ETH_IN="eth1" ETH_OUT="eth0" BANDA_TOTALA="2Mbit" # pentru neclasificati ar trebui sa fie banda minima - 1k - aici ar trebui sa ajunga trafic necunoscut, # care nu e organizat in shape-uri BANDA_NECLASIFICATI="8kbit" #Shape generale /sbin/tc

Question regarding HTB
Ok, So I am from Romania where we have this tiny problem. The IP clases are split in 2: metropolitan and extern (worldwide). We have 2 types of guaranteed band: metro and extern. Now.. the link comes into my gw. I have an IP which my ISP gave it to me which is eth0. I have 2 other PI clasess 194.126.178.0/23. What I want to do is this: make a HTB script which can limit the bandwidth on each PI

Help? Router/Bandwidth throttle needed.
I hope this list is still active. I''m an experienced Linux Sysadmin, but I haven''t done much in the way of routing. Due to a decision made by my higherups, I need to jam a computer between my ISP and my LAN to do bandwidth throttling. My current setup: 1 Crappy Cable Modem (7Mb/768Kb connection) with a static IP. 4 servers (all have static, routable IPs) - One of which is

Please document this
Stephen, This REALLY needs to be fixed in the code; tc should reject as a syntax error any "add filter" command that does not include a "prio" parameter. It also needs to be documented. === From LARTC mailing list === > Dear list, > After much code crunching and beating my head against the wall > (literally), I discovered the faulty code. Strange "username map" behaviour with "security=user"
I use Samba 2.2.0 on small network. I use "security = user" and "username map" to map some Win-users to unix users. I have simple testing file with username mapping: root = vlad It is supposed that when I connect to samba as user "Vlad" with vlad's password I get the root's rigths to shares. Right? But when I try to connect to samba as "vlad"

problem with the "arp" command (using the pub flag)
Hi all. I experienced a strange behaviour in the "arp" command when I use the "pub" (publishing) flag. This is the scenario (I know it''s an unusual one, but it''s just for a test): __________ | | | host C | | | |__________| | __________|________________________________

How does one increase the output buffer size?
In 2.4 kernels, there was a [bp]fifo that could be implemented with ''tc add'', but in 2.6 kernels, I find no way to create either of these fifos. I am able to increase txqueuelen. What I desire is a larger number of backlogged packetes before drops occur. How can the output buffer size be increased for HTB? -- gypsy

Broken filters?
Hi! By iptables I set marking (-j MARK) just before -j IMQ. There are only three marks. Exectly all of them are ditected to 1:20 Why I see 3 pkts in default 1:30? How explain it? ### imq0: queueing disciplines qdisc htb 1: r2q 10 default 30 direct_packets_stat 0 Sent 631429 bytes 1812 pkts (dropped 0, overlimits 20) ### imq0: traffic classes class htb 1:20 root prio 0 rate 100Kbit ceil

tc limit
Hi I have been playing with tc. I''m using htb and sfq. I tried to setup shaping of every ip address within a /20. I found that there must be an upper limit of about 2096 on the number of rules (classes, qdiscs or filters). I was testing a /20 which gives 4096 classes, qdiscs and filters. I''m using hashkey to optimize processing of frames. When executing the script below - it

HTB stalling
Hi Couple months ago I started to have a strange problem with HTB. My setup is Fedora Core 2 + Pentium 2 233 + 128 MB of ram and its serving as a router. For some time since going to kernel 2.6 my HTB QoS Stalls for couple seconds, every couple minutes. If the connection load is bigger the stalling is more frequent and takes longer. I isolated the problem to be with HTB (CBQ works fine). The

Vlad. I still got the same problem - 'ls | wc -l' returned incorretc numbers. I installed the following patches with the sequence vs. the kerner 2.4.18: 1. 00-smbfs-2.4.18-codepage.patch.gz 2. 01-smbfs-2.4.18-lfs.patch.gz 3. 02-smbfs-2.4.18-unicode.patch.gz 4. smbfs-2.4.19-pre9-readdir.patch After installed patches, I ran 'make modules' and so on.
