political maps world maps in R, wrld_simpl
dear all,
I'm a newbie in map tools. I was asking to perform an apparently very
simple task.
I have a list of countries (about fifty all over in the world) scored
with a real positive value. Eg
Country score
Italy .56
UK .58
Korea .41
Mexico .63
...
I wish to plot geographical maps where every country is filled with a
color depending on his score.
Using maptools library and

Using Icecast relay function with dynamic IP at remote source end
For our community radio station's live music festivals broadcasts, we
set up a small broadcast studio at the festival's venue, and use
B.U.T.T. to send a stream to an Icecast server located at the radio
station's building.

plotting Principle components vs individual variables.
Dear R,
I'm trying to plot the first principle component of an analysis vs the first
variable but am having trouble. I have no trouble doing the initial plot
but have difficulty thereafter.
First I want to highlight some points of the following data set

Using Icecast relay function with dynamic IP at remote source end
Hi David, I don't think we will necessarily be on wifi, I'm sorry if I
implied that. There are a couple of events each year when we have to use
wifi, but for those I have a dedicated access point running at close to
1 watt connected directly to our ISP's network.
Okay, I was told over on the Darkice listserv that using Darkice > WAN >

Error messages after upgrading to OpenSSH_4.6p1
Hi,
I have upgraded the openssh (OpenSSH_4.6p1) on Solaris 8 server. After
upgrading I am getting the below error messages when we execute the
commands in remote systems using ssh. However the ssh works fine without
any issue. Please let me know is there is any fix for it.

At the cost of breaking the thread I'm going to change your subject and
replace 'Principle' by 'Principal'. I just can't stand it any longer...
OK, here is how I would solve your other problems. First put

temporary setups for ICEcast at festivals?
Hi :
I am new to ICEcast, and really am just starting to get to grips with the
ability of community radio, however I have a reason to look into the set up
process and concepts some more, while I work with people in the Pacific
region on using information communications technologies (ICT's) to empower
learning networks, the foundations of indigenous music, and communities
which have lots to

Using Icecast relay function with dynamic IP at remote source end
ok let see if I can translate it to broadcaster terms for ya :)
A icecast server can be set up to accept direct source connection. ie dark
ice( which i do agree runs better on the machine where icecast server is.
) I do use it to trans-code the mount to different encoding.
THe icecast server can also set up as a relay, where it pulls in from the
another server. Primary used to pull the stream

Hey,
The relay easiest to configured in a pull configuration. Where the
setting are setup on the remote server.
Since the client is on WiFi, you will have lots of issues streaming due
to the ever changing wifi environment. My suggestion is source the stream
at the lowest settings for encoding you can live with, This will keep the
bandwidth down and less likely burp on you.
We do have
