[OT] too much spam, goodbye
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 For all the talk I hear about how good gmail is at blocking spam, you''d think the spam problem coming from googlegroups would be an easy fix. I think I''ll just watch from the forum. I love rails, but spam annoys me more. David Morton Maia Mailguard http://www.maiamailguard.com mortonda-0/IDydmJJnNeoWH0uzbU5w@public.gmane.org

[LLVMdev] goodbye bytecode, hello bitcode
I just checked in the final bits to switch us over from bytecode to bitcode. Old bytecode files will not work, but I expect this format to be stable going forward with the 2.x series of releases. This new format has a number of advantages. In particular: 1. The files are smaller. 2. The reader takes about 2/3 the memory it did before. 3. The reader is about 1/2 the code size of the old

goodbye QuartzBufferedTable
I've finally managed to sort out the problems with my patch to eliminate QuartzBufferedTable and checked it in. I'm currently building a large database to test this. The rate was quite a bit faster initially but after around 200K documents it has settled down to being very slightly faster than before. Even if the eventual rate is much the same, this at least improves the time taken to

Goodbye Windows?
Hi. I know that Linux provides most of the softwares we need for business, equivalent of Outlook, MS Office, IE, ... but : Is it realistic to think that we can delete Win XP, and use Wine with Linux, for a professional use, with : - All Adobe, with the ICC profiles (I use Monaco EZcolor for the calibration). - CMS like Joomla and a lot of plugs-in, and a few tools for webranking. I hope the

one-way audio
Im experiencing a problem with a current setup and I've run out of ways to debug it and come to a resolution. I have two E100P's in a machine which is routing traffic over the internet to a machine that has 1 E400P connected to the PSTN. Clients are able to make calls successfully but when the call is connected experience one-way audio. They cannot hear anything said by the person

After years - goodbye to Wine-Users
After being on this list for years, mostly as a lurker and sometime participant, I find that due specifically to the new changes in list membership via the forums that it's time for me to unsubscribe. While I think it's a very healthy in the long run to have more folks participating in Wine's growth I also find the quality of the emails coming across my desk to be significantly less

subset
Hello everyone, I have a large dataset (x) with some rows that have duplicate variables that I would like to remove. I find which rows are the duplicates with X1<-which(duplicated(x)). That gives me the rows with duplicated variables. Now, how can I remove just those rose from the original data frame. I think I can create a new data frame without the duplicates using subset. I have tried:
