syslinux.com: sector read error
Hello. I cannot install syslinux on my hard disk image. Steps to
reproduce the problem:
(1) Create a zeroed disk image with 800 tracks, 32 sides, and 63
sectors or 825753600 bytes
(2) Fdisk and format it with "format.com /S C:" from windows 98SE
boot disk.
(3) Copy syslinux (tested version 3.11, 3.20, and latest released) to

Archives and sector read error
Hello. I sent a message describing an odd bug I'm having with
syslinux.com. I didn't get a reply so I looked to see if it was
archived correctly. It seems the archives at http://
syslinux.zytor.com/archives/ are very incomplete, because I can't
find several of the recent threads listed there.
My original message follows:

"o" bty with different axes
Is it possible to create plot bty=o with different scale of left- and
right x-axis? In my documents, by typesetting, bty=u looks disruptively.
At 2nd: how to frame the whole box (including title and axes labels) and
resize to landscape-oriented rectangle?

On a purely subjective note: I think that's a bad design. One of the
primary benefits of virtualization and other containers is isolating the
applications you run from the base OS. Putting services other

Re: combined graph in R
Hello,
I could not yet create combined graph in R. To avoid misunderstands,
three examples (originally created in Quattro pro) have been attached.
At first, I don't know how to create graph composed of bars and areas in
the same picture as it is shown in the balance graph (h2plc02.gif).
I am sendind the original data table from that I need make the same
charts. First column (julian day)

Multiple default gateway from tinc node
Hi, Lars
Thanks for your suggestion, will give it a try later to see how it performs.
But, yesterday, I did a below test:
A ConnectTo B and C, B ConnectTo D, C ConnectTo D; All nodes turned "IndirectData" on in its host configuration, so the tunnel only follow metacomnection instead of direct connect.
D announced default route by having the Subnet = 0.0.0.0/0 statement in its host

hosted VMs, VLANs, and firewalld
I'm looking for some information regarding the interaction of KVM,
VLANs, firewalld, and the kernel's forwarding configuration. I would
appreciate input especially from anyone already running a similar
configuration in production. In short, I'm trying to figure out if
a current configuration is inadvertently opening up traffic across
network segments.

Reconfiguring wide frame to long frame
Greetings, fellow R'ers.
How can I get this frame in R:
ID meas ID.1 meas.1
1 1.1 3 1.2
2 2.1 4 2.2
to look like this (stacking):
ID meas
1 1.1
2 2.1
3 1.2
4 2.2
It's not really the reshape function (or is it?) because we can consider
the additional columns, viz., ID.1 and meas.1, as independent of ID and
meas so it is basically a stacking

NFS issue
I am currently running K12LTSP on Centos 5, which is working well but
without sound on most machines(ok all). So in order to remedy this and the
cd-burning issue I have decided to try to install CentOS locally on one
machine and then apply the personalizations via NFS.
Steps:
I editted the /etc/exports to export the /home dir as per the NFS howto and
that seemed to work as the user homes were

looping using combinatorics
I have a problem where I need to loop over the total combinations of
vectors (combined once chosen via combinatorics). Here is a
simplification of the problem:
STEP 1: Define three vectors a, b, c.
STEP 2: Combine all possible pairwise vectors (i.e., 3 choose 2 = 3
possible pairs of vectors: ab,ac, bc)
NOTE: the actual problem has 8 choose 4, 8 choose 5 and 8 choose 6
combinations.

Can I interoperate with public PSTN gateways ?
Apologies if this is an FAQ, I wasn't able to find an answer googling:
Will any of the public PSTN/VoIP gateway services (Vonage, Packet8 etc)
interoperate with * ?
I'd like to deploy a box which provides PBX service for analog handsets,
and handles inbound/outbound calls via both analog PSTN lines, and,
say Packet8 VoIP service. I understand that I can do this by connecting
the analog

Multiple default gateway from tinc node
Hi, Guus
I don’t quite understand what you describe below, to me, no matter tinc or any other router/PC get an IP packet, it will go to check with its route table, to match the destination IP against the route table for the next hop, if I put "ip route add default via <C’s VPN IP address> dev $INTERFACE", I thought tinc will match the packet’s destination IP to the “default”, and
