routing decision based on sorce port
Hello Routing Gurus ;-) I''d like to know if it''s possible to make a routing decision for pakets originating from a specific port of the local machine without using ipfilter/iptables to mark the pakets. I read about the tc filter stuff but that seems only to be able to sort the pakets to a different queue on the same interface and not choose a different interface for example. Is

Special Meetme
Hi all, I want to setup a meetme application in the following maner: One operator is connected to a room. The operator hears and can talk to all the participants, but one participant can only hear/talk to the operator, not others. The operator is using one phone. To be more explicit, this means that every new person etering the room has a one2one conversation with the operator only, and the

Best quad-port fxo solution with EC?
Hello All, I am trying to figure out which way to go for a quad port fxo solution with a good echo can on it. My options are the sangoma remora, a mediatrix fxo, or something similar. The issue is that I would need a good EC. This would be on about a 9000 foot loop, and the lines don't function well on a spa-3000 or zaptel tdm 4 port card. Anyone have experience that drives them in a

Lartc documentation version?
Hi guys, I''m just lurking and learning. Went to the lartc web page to read the howto. The page says the current version is 1.0.0 but in the pdf, on page 2 it says "Revision: 1.43" - Which is it? Also, the instructions for cvs checkout gives me this: Logging in to :pserver:anon@outpost.ds9a.nl:2401/var/cvsroot CVS password: cvs [login aborted]: connect to

mysql vs postgres
I''ve used mysql for quite some time now. Other than crashing when the partition gets full, I''ve had no problems with it. But I''ve heard great things about postgres and have seen some people say it''s much superior to mysql. So, with a Rails application, is there any reason why I would want to learn/use another DB besides mysql? Any pragmatic benefits?

automatic cleaning of workspace
I'm having that problem where I am sometimes using an object that's from a previous workspace when I don't want to be doing that. I was thinking of putting rm(objects=ls()) in my first.R function But, the problem with doing this, is that it doesn't prompt you with "are you sure" and there could be very rare cases where I don't want to delete the workspace ? Is there a

rails and dojo
Hi all, I am currently expereimenting with integrating dojo into a rails app. It''s easy for anything related to DOM manipulation. But I couldn''t find out how to use dojo.io.bind for ajax form submission. Dojo must be serializing differently than prototype. Has anybody expereince with that ? Maybe JSON-ize the form ? regards -- Roberto Saccon -------------- next part

GoTo or Dial in AGI??
I have two possible senarios for making a call from an AGI.. Senario1 - Using GoTo In the extensions.conf I have.. [dial-out] exten => _9.,1,AGI(myagi) exten => _9.,2,Dial(SIP/blah/${EXTEN:1}) In the AGI I have.. Asterisk distribution for a Call Center
Dear all, I need to build a PBX based on Asterisk for a call center. I have worked with raw Asterisk but it's hard to work for big implementations think. Also I have worked with Trixbox CE for a small bussines and it was prette good, but I have not have many features like ACD. I know there is another version called Trixbox PRO -specially Call Center edition- that's not free but has got

default Bind on CentOS 4.4 and reverse DNS subnets issue?
Anybody knows if the Bind version on CentOS 4.4 (9.2.4) has issues with doing reverse DNS for subnets? (networks smaller than /24) I keep a reverse DNS /26 subnet on Bind 9.3.1 (Fedora) and it works fine. I've a /27 subnet on CentOS 4 (bind 9.2.4), exactly the same config just different subnets and addresses, and it does not work. I do a "dig @localhost .......in-addr.arpa. PTR"

lartc doc and Jamal''s iproute2 notes
There are some notes written by Jamal that come with the iproute2 source that describe some very significant features that are not even hinted at in the lartc document. They aren''t real easy to run across if you don''t know they exist and even when I did first see them, I wasn''t sure if they represented the current state of things. I also ran across IMQ and it took me a

LARTC Howto Section 4.1 doesn''t work (source policy routing)
Hi, I''ve tried to reproduce the example from section 4.1 (simple source policy routing) but without success. The setup is the same as in the example, with only two differences: there is additionally a gre tunnel which doesn''t seem to disturb here, and one interface does not masquerade at all, as it''s thought to be used from the router only. Besides that, and the
