Classid limit at 10000
Hi
I''m setting up shaping using HTB and hashkey. It seems like there is a
limit on the number of classid''s at 10000?
How can I go higher than 10000?
This is what my output say when I reach classid number 10000:

Multipath routing
Hello!
I have trouble with multipath routing. Those options are enabled in kernel:
[*] IP: policy routing
[*] IP: equal cost multipath
[*] IP: equal cost multipath with caching support (EXPERIMENTAL)
<*> MULTIPATH: round robin algorithm
But issuing:
ip r a 1.2.3.0/23 scope global equalize nexthop via 80.245.176.11 \
dev eth0 weight 1 nexthop via 80.245.176.13 dev eth0

TC Filter matching all
Hello!
I was always using "default" in HTB to choose default class, but now I
need to do it with filters. Tried following command:
# tc filter add dev eth0 protocol ip parent 10: prio 2 flowid 10:2
Unknown filter "flowid", hence option "10:2" is unparsable
It is from example in LARTC Howto.
My question is then - how to make a filter matching all without eating

ESFQ not so fair?
Hello!
I am using since yesterday ESFQ instead of N HTB queues. It mostly
works OK, but when somebody is using one single sesion (for example
downloading file via FTP), it gets weird speed. For example it is 20
kilobytes pres second, then drops down to 9, then 20 again, and then
slowly to 0 and stops. But when using download accelererator of some
kind or bittorrent client which uses many

I have read various info, and mailing list archives, but have not found
an answer to the following.
I have a few servers with configurations similar to the following:
They each have multiple uplinks to the Internet, and a sample config is
as follows:
eth1 is 192.168.0.1, connected to 192.168.0.2
eth2 is 192.168.1.1, connected to 192.168.1.2
My default route looks like:

ipt_IPMARK.c should have nfcache removed
Hello!
I think 36th line of ipt_MARK which is
(*pskb)->nfcache |= NFC_ALTERED;
Should be removed. At least looking at that patch:

HTB.init for zebra BGP
Hi,
I have successfully shape bandwidth using htb.init using ip address , but
when i try to shape zebra BGP using their ip address and BGP port it can''t
match the class for BGP and always get the default class.
Here''s my htb.init script in the bridge :

RATE=128kbit
RULE=192.168.192.163
RULE=192.168.199.22
RULE=*:179

zebra bgp and shorewall
Hi,
I plan to implement a redundant Internet connection using BGP on 2
different Linux Routers. The routing daemon software I will be using is
Zebra (zebra.org).
I''m wondering if I should have my Linux firewall behind the 2 BGP routers,
or could I keep the shorewall on both BGP routers?
Has anyone had any experience with this?
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Sam

BGP + shorewall on multiISP env.
Hi list,
My network was assigned a private AS and my ISP(4) urged me to use BGP !
My Other 3 providers on my Shorewall BOX are typical aDSL lines while
the 4th is an 1G optical uplink with 64 addresses.
Currently I am in a balance, track mode in shorewall ISP setup..
After I installed - configured and started zebra + bgp my static
routing tables got filled with about 850 static routes to

Two ADSL Lines either ECMP or BGP?
Hi -
I am trying to find a Linux based solution for one of my clients, I want
to bond two adsl lines into one, with redundancy (if one fails the other
does all the work).
I''ve been looking into ECMP (Equal Cost Multipath), I know BGP would
work, but something like ECMP would be much simpler. I have full control
of both ends of the connections and I can have both ADSL lines terminate

single static ip address
Hi Tinc group,
I have recently got an adsl connection at home, which only provides
a single static ip address. I want to set up a tinc vpn from home to
my workplace. I am trying to decide what hardware I need to do the
above. At the moment, I am aware that I could use an Alcatel
Speedtouch USB modem directly connected to a Linux vpn box at
my home.

MTU and Voice Delay (latency??)
Our users are experiencing some unacceptable delay when trying to have a

Here is the setup

Speedtouch 610 SDSL Modem
3Com 2224PWR Plus Switch (phones on separate VLAN)

thomson speedtouch ST2030
hi there,
I saw a page on voip-info about the thomson ST2030 phone. There is not
so much info on there, that's why I would like to raise a question
here.
Has anyone got hands-on experience with this phone? (with or without
extension module)
I am interested if it can be used (as SIP phone) in a good way with
asterisk. (also, do all the functions behave like they should; like

Registration failed problems/Polycom 500/maybe nat problem?
I have sent a Polycom IP500 phone to an overseas remote user who has a
Speedtouch adsl modem/router. The phone is connected to the 4 port
router which performs NAT for the network.
The phone rboots, find the server, downloads it's config and tried to
register. Then it immediately becomes UNREACHABLE.
