Reading the page

SugarCRM, NO!, Foxpro, SI?
I have dual posted this to the user and biz lists.
Has anyone ever heard of someone running an Asterisk based system, yet abandoning SugarCRM, and opting to develop their own Visual FoxPro database/CRM?
Please don't dump on me now, this is not my idea, I am just asking for comments, to see if my own initial thoughts are reasonably accurate.

asterisk box in the US. I've seen the SMS command as well as the Kannel
program. I'd prefer to do it from Asterisk.
I've tried something like:
exten => 999,n,sms(15551234567,s,"This is a test")
in my dialplan, but when this runs, it dials the phone number and then
nothing.
What am I

OpenVox G400P SMS messages character set issues
I have just installed one of these cards with the intention of using it to
send text messages.
O2 and Vodafone PAYG SIM cards worked fine (couldn't make calls or send texts
before putting on some credit, obviously). Orange and Virgin PAYG SIMs keep
showing "Network status: Not Registered". I have not added any credit to
these SIMs for fear of it still not working ()

SIM adaptor (huwewi or other)
Hello;
I am looking for SIM adaptor to be connected with Asterisk to be able to send and receive calls from the mobile operator and if possible the same adapter to be used for SMS "sending and receiving".
But what if anyone called this SIM card that is connected to this adapter and no one relied his call, how this miss call can reach for the use at the asterisk PBX?

vTiger component
Hy all of you,
Please forgive my french level of english ;-).
I'm working with a dedicated server that host vtiger solution.
On the other hand, I have an asterisk server inside my enterprise.
The asterisk server have no public IP allowed for non VoIP traffic.
Do you think that the solution proposed by vTiger :
http://wiki.vtiger.com/index.php/vtiger510:Module_Asterisk could be
produced?

Lighttpd Configuration Independent of Hostname or IP
Hopefully someone can help with a bit of lighttpd configuration for
my production rails app in Mac OS X.
I have an application which will be accessed by many different
domains and IP addresses. Examples:
http://crm.local/
http://localhost/
http://192.168.0.49/
http://65.256.120.90/ (fake, but you get the idea, an external
Internet facing IP address)

Who am xxx talking to.agi
In relation to our CRM-system I'd like to send a query to asterisk who
is extension xxx talking to.
When the operator enters the page with customer data, the crm should
send a query to asterisk, to get the cli of the call the operator is having.
If the number is matching the customers number in crm, a record will be
made, if it is not, a popup "Are you talking with this customer

CRM integration (was RE: CallerID)
hello everyone,
I just had a thought on this subject why not create a daemon process on
the Client PC That registers its self and What phone the user is
connected. An AGI script could monitor the progress and when answered
could send a push to the registered daemon which would push a link to
the registered daemon on the telephone operators on the desk top. this
would not waist resource as much as
