( Paid ) Expert Required in Sydney for Vampire process
Hi all.
We're looking for a Samba expert in Sydney to come on-site and perform a
Vampire from an NT4 domain controller ( which is dying ) to a new Ubuntu
system which will then act as a domain controller.
I've tried doing a vampire of this system before and not had much
success. I don't have time to do it now, as I'm leaving this job in 5

VM boots BUT keep throwing: "INIT: Id "X" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes"
Hi,
This is my setting:
I have a Logical Volume /dev/VG/suse with Suse installed. I have added
it to the grub and I can boot it and works perfectly fine.
Now I am running /dev/VG/root which is running Xen0. I have created a
Xen config file to boot a VM with disk: /dev/VG/suse. In other words I
want to boot
/dev/VG/suse as a virtual machine.
Below is what I am getting at boot time :

I just recently adopted a server with Gentoo/Xen as domain0 server with several domainUs attached to it. Please forgive my xen-noobness, but I was hoping that someone can help me out.

Hi Daniel,
Yes, thanks and I should have mentioned that I am using pretty much the same thing you suggested on my routers, but for whatever reason couldn?t get that approach working on the linux box in question.
Mark,
Thanks for the upstart script. I had tried to do the same myself but couldn?t get my upstart script to work right. I was missing the ?-D? flag in my script. Added that and now

TE121B Doesn't Fit PCI-E Slot
I have 2 HP Proliant 365 G5 servers with PCI-E risers. I bought a Digium TE121B single port card. When installing the card, the slot on the card doesn't quite line up with the tab in the PCI-E slot. If I loosen the front plate on the card, Ican sort of make it plug in, however, the card won't go in far enough to screw down the plate. I tried the card in the other server and had the same

error message: INIT: Id "s0" respawning toofast:disable for 5 minutes
Guys (and Gals),
FYI I also have the *same* message here. Wonder is it is related to my
Compaq D500 Space Saver PIV 1.7 or the fact that I don't yet have a
modem card in the * box.
(Please don't shoot me, did try Google first)
Many thanks,
Wagner Gimenes

I'd like to connect to a CentOS 5.2 system's console through a

Starting using LaunchDaemons
I've figured this one out... Just wanted to get it into the dovecot
mailing list archive so that somebody in the future might find it if
they need it.
Running Dovecot on Mac OS X 10.4.11 and using LaunchDaemon to start.
Following a system crash, dovecot failed to restart with this in the
system log...

Centos5 and X respawning problem
I just installed CentOS 5 on a Sony Vaio V505 (PCG-V505DC2P) and it worked
perfectly. A full yum update also worked fine.
The user made various changes to it over the weekend, and how I'm faced with
trying to undo endless "INIT: Id "x" respawning too fast: disabled for 5
minutes" error messages.
I've spent half the day googling various answers. init 5 will not
