Can you create file /etc/dovecot/conf.d/10-ssl.conf and type in 'ssl = yes' and nothing else? does it work after this? leave the default_vsz_limit off for now. live migration in between different CPU families
Hi, referring to thread: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/xen/users/177385#177385. I have the same thing going on: hypervisors with E5620 Xeon CPUs and hypervisors with E5410 CPUs. Live migrations go wrong when domU''s are not created on the latter and move from the E5410 servers to more recent ones. The rationale being that these CPU''s have less or other capabilities

Problems with power management
I do not seem to be able to get any where with the power management functions. I have had a look at the xenpm Wiki page, but it hasn''t helped. Its probably something completely obvious, but I can''t see it. I running Xen 3.4.0 on Centos 5.3 x86_64 using the gitco RPMs on an Intel S5000PSL motherboard with 2 x Xeon 5410s. Dom0 is running the latest Centos 5.3 kernel. My xm

Problemes about Windows virtualization (memory, CPU)
Hello, I have some questions about Windows virtuzalisation on XEN. I currently ran some test on Windows'' VM (Server 2003 mostly) for my job. But I can''t make some of my expectations which could be useful for my prod environment. Here are my questions: - Is it possible to have more than 2048Mo of memory per Windows VM with a 32bits CPU ? - Is it possible to have multiple CPU

Dell Latitude E5410 doesn't boot my USB thumbnail
Hi there, I have a 512MB USB thumbnail which I used syslinux to create a bootable USB disk. It works fine with my old laptop and a few other computers. However, on my Dell Latitude E5410, it doesn't really work; when the Dell laptop boots, I pressed F9 to see the boot devices list and the thumbnail is not on the list. Some hints please? x -- [?] Please notice that v9 at dr.com is no

CPU Model detection with virsh capabilities
Hello everybody, I am a new user discovering libvirt with KVM software. During my first VM creation, I saw an issue with virsh that I can't understand. I wanted to emulate another CPU than the classical qemu32 using virsh. So I used the virsh capabilites command to detect how is detected my CPU host which is an Intel Xeon E5410 and my problem is that this CPU is detected only with the

CPU enumeration
Hello, Is it possible to alter how XCP enumerates multi-core cpu’s such that a Vcpu represents a “socket”, rather than a “core”? A server with dual quad core processors, no HT, presents each of the 8 cores as a Vcpu to the guest. Windows Server 2008 R2 see’s each Vcpu as a unique “socket” and we are therefore coming up against licensing issues with Windows and more importantly SQL Server 2008

hardware sizing and configuration
Understanding that a samba 4.x ADDC should be run on a an os separate than a samba 4. file server, I was thinking of virtualizing both. Is it common to have a single physcial server with two VM's running samba? If some is there a recommendation on how much hardware to start with and how much virtual hardware to give each VM. I'm wondering about virtual nics and if there may be a

readline doesn't work even thou cled=TRUE
Can anyone offer suggestion about getting readline to work on Solaris? (v1.5.1) When I use the up arrow or ctrl-p to try to repeat the last command my session just beeps. It appears that the .Rhistory file that should appear in my startup directory is not being created. Thanks! The screen shot below shows cled=TRUE and no .Rhistory file created: $ /apps/R-1.5.1/bin/R R : Copyright 2002, The

10-ssl.conf: Unknown setting: ssl / debian 1:2.2.13-12~deb8u
Hi, in line 17 of your 10-master.conf you enable the "imap-login" service, but you fail to close the config section in line 36 ... :-) That results in loading 10-ssl.conf and trying to apply the "ssl" option to "imap-login" which of course doesn't apply here. Aki, is it possible to have doveconf print the current section upon error? Like, change the following error message May 13 13:38:32 mail dovecot[2178]: doveconf: Fatal: Error in configuration file /etc/dovecot/conf.d/10-ssl.conf line 61: Unknown setting: ssl to something like May 13 13:38:32 mail dovecot[2178]: doveconf: Fatal: Error in configuration file /etc/dovecot/conf.d/10-ssl.conf line
