Errors when trying to open odfWeave documents
Hello I tried the odfWeave package today, by running the formatting.odt and example.odt files that are included with the package. They both ran fine, but when I try to open them in my OpenOffice (OpenOffice 3.1.1 on Kubuntu 9.10) I get an error "Format error discovered in the file in sub-document content.xml at 1293,124(row,col)." I also tried to open them in MS Word 2003 (Windows

Convert results from print(survfit(formula, ...)) into a matrix or data frame
Hello All, Below is some sample survival analysis code. I'd like to able to get the results from print(gehan.surv) into a matrix or data frame, so I can manipulate them and then create a table using odfWeave. Trouble is, I'm not quite sure how make such a conversion using the results from a print method. Is there some simple way of doing this? Thanks, Paul require(survival)

odfweave table styles
Hello List, Does anyone have examples of custom formatting of tables in odfweave? I know there is an example of this in the formatting.odt file that comes with the package, but running that through odfweave gives the following error: Error: chunk 13 (label=showTableStyles) Error in names(x) <- value : 'names' attribute [1] must be the same length as the vector [0] What I am really

Fleming-Harrington weighted log rank test
Hi all,? The survdiff() from survival package has an argument "rho" that implements Fleming-Harrington weighted long rank test.? But according to several sources including "survminer" package (https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/survminer/vignettes/Specifiying_weights_in_log-rank_comparisons.html), Fleming-Harrington weighted log-rank test should have 2 parameters

odfWeave : problems with odfInsertPlot() and odfFigureCaption()
Dear Max, dear list, I have trouble using odfInsertPlot to insert plots outside fig=TRUE chunks. My goal is to dump a bunch of (relatively uninteresting, but required) graphs from within a loop, possibly interspeded with some tables. This is not possible within a normal fig=TRUE chunk. odfInsertPlot() is able to insert a previously saved plot. When used in a fig=TRUE, results=hide chunk, it

Adding new column variable to a existing spreadsheet
Hi, I've got a csv format of file. There are seven columns of variables all together, and I've used the diff() function to take the differences between the variables in one column. Now I want to add the differences as the 8th column variable to the csv file. Is there any way that I can do this? Thanks in advance. Carol Gao [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Passing a LaTeX length to Sweave
I'd really love to do this \setkeys{Gin}{width=\columnwidth} <<label=something,fig=TRUE,echo=FALSE,width=\columnwidth,height=0.3\columnwidth>>= plot(y~x) @ The \columnwidth macro does not work, of course, in the second line. What can I do instead?

odfTable: how to escape <
Dear All, I'm appreciating odfWeave as a nice reporting tool, but I had some pain in producing tables with odfTable command where the first column began with < or > such as in age class heading, for example: <35 35-39 40-49 50-50 >60 In this case, to avoid a content.xml error, I had to change <35 in less than 35 and > 60 in over 60. Anyone knows how to escape those

Hello R masters, I have sent this same message to other lists and none so far could give some light. I was trying to use odfWeave to generate a report from R and Im getting an error that I think is related to latin characters. I looked around and did find some stuff related to this problem about Sweave http://labmoluscos.wordpress.com/2010/02/18/sweave-latex-character-encoding/ but did not find a
