If Ogg is independant of the type of stream it is transporting, how come I am unable to add or edit the metadata on OggFLAC files? [Flac-users] WinAmp PlugIn and Ogg framing.
Hello flac-users, I'm trying to play an ogg flac file in WinAmp 2.80 but I get nothing. I'm using the native Vorbis plugin and the shipped FLAC 1.04 plugin. I guess it's a conflict regarding which plugin "owns" the ogg extension or format. I'm not sure. But I wanted to know how good the ogg framing was. But I couldn't test it because metaflac doesn't

What would be required is support for ogg/flac in the streaming client (and perhaps in the server, depending on how sophisticated it is), by

FLAC winamp plugin
Hi, What is the best way to play FLAC files in winamp? Using the in_flac.dll plugin provided in the flac-1.1.4-win.zip file and copying it to the Plugins subdirectory of winamp or using the plugin that's provided by winamp itself? Are there differences between those 2 plugins? It's not really clear for me thanks in advance Harry -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment

Winamp 3 plugin and flac 1.0.3
When I copy the winamp 3 plugin into the appropriate winamp folder, and start winamp, Winamp complains that it cannot find MSVCRTD.DLL Was the plugin mistakenly compiled as Debug and shipped that way? Any way for me to get the winamp3 plugin that isn't debug? I do not have MSVC++ to recompile it. -Justin

[Flac-users] Winamp 3 plugin
Hi all, I've installed the Winamp 2 plugin and it seems to work fine. However I wish to install the Winamp 3 plugin on another machine but can't find it anywhere. Where is it? ID3v1 support to Winamp v.2 plugin
I just added code to the Winamp 2 plugin that reads/writes ID3v1.1 tags in FLAC files from the 'Get File Info' dialog and properly reports the artist and title information to the playlist. In what format would you prefer the new code? Additionally, do you think it would be worth adding this functionality to the FLAC API? It would be cool to have the capability to write ID3v1 tags from the

[Flac-users] winamp plugins troubles
Give a hint please how to compile winamp plugins. After ./configure && make I see no .dll and no .wac files in the source tree at all :( What am I doing wrong? All the lib modules are compiled just as xmms plugin but the winamp ones.. Documentation says nothing about that. -- Best regards, RuslanO mailto:ruslano@imp.lg.ua

[Flac-users] Winamp 2/Winamp 3 and FLAC plug-ins
I know that Winamp has its loyal following. I've never used it much. Also, I'm a novice at computer music. I've always just bought CD's and never used computer music. So perhaps I'm an idiot or just not very music-software literate, but I so far haven't been impressed with Winamp, or the FLAC plug-in. Just for one example, I've got a dual-Althlon MP 2000 system

Nullsoft winamp's FLAC plugin
Hi, Does anybody know if the FLAC plugin of Nullsoft winamp (the one included with winamp itself, not the one you can download on the FLAC website) uses the reference FLAC decoder? thx -- 'C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot; C++ makes it harder, but when you do, it blows away your whole leg.' --Bjarne Stroustrup, The Creator of C++ 'And so at last the beast fell and the

[Flac-users] Re: [Flac-announce] Winamp not in default directory
Yup... I troubleshooted this with Chris already... seems he didn't actually install Winamp, but just created a shortcut to winamp.exe to launch the program. This means that there is no winamp info in the Windows registry, thus, the installer doesn't think winamp is installed, and it skips the Winamp plugin install. Even if I had the installer check the default install location (\program

I'm moving this over to flac-users... Anyway, are you using Mike Wren's installer? I'm not familiar with that yet. Re: WinAmp OGG Output Plugin
This message appeared in my inbox over the weekend. A useful idea although I have not reviewed the code. Might someone on the list (or the original author) be interested in running with it? WINAMP & FLAC
Hi, This word for a little problem : when using the Equalizer integrated with Winamp v 5.24, this has no action on FLAC files! With MP3 files, no problem, and when reading FLAC files using the Creative Equalizer, no problems too! Is this a bug in Winamp ? [Flac-users] Open URL from Winamp
I have an Apache server running on a Linux box here at home, and an mp3 file and a flac file in the same server directory. I can add the mp3 to my Winamp playlist with the 'Open URL' dialog just fine, but it refuses to open the flac file. Flac files loaded locally play fine. Any ideas? Does the reference plug-in not support this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Cheers, -Jason

[Flac-users] Open URL from Winamp
Hurm.. How difficult would it be to implement? I have experience developing Winamp plug-ins, and it seems that the spec for streaming flac files is written pretty well. I'd be happy to work on adding this functionality. -Jason Josh Coalson wrote: > > --- "Jason L. Cook" <jason@siliconashes.net> wrote: > > > > I have an Apache server running on a Linux box
