Windows ACM codec status
What is the status of the vorbis ACM codec? I certainly hope I am not the
only one with a vested interest in its development and there's been no
talk of its status on the list lately.

Windows ACM Driver
during the last weeks I was playing around with Windows ACM codecs. These
drivers allow the use of audio compression algorithms in Microsoft Windows
Apps like Goldwave or the Microsoft Audio Tools (e.g. for streaming). At the
moment this code is in a very early stage, only some houskeeping
functionality is finished at the moment. But I think it should be possible
to implement this thing without

ACM driver binary 'release'
Dear vorbis developer community,
time has come to release a first binary of the ACM driver. I need some
feedback of what it does or does not. Please not that this is still a
"private" release that is only intended for use by the vorbis developer
community, therfore I ask you not to distribute it, you can expect that
future version of the driver won't be compatible to this binary.

Vorbis ACM
Does anyone have a status update for this project?
The sourceforge page doesn't offer much info:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/vorbisacm
I'd love to be able to use Vorbis to encode audio from within Virtualdub,
etc, etc, not to mention the ability o play Vorbis files in Windows Media
Player. Too bad I don't have the skills to write it myself.
Thanks,
--Wilson.

Win32 DLL
I've put together a first cut for a Win32 DLL using the BladeEnc interface.
Right now, it's just a drop-in replacement for BladeEnc.dll that ignores all
encoding parameters passed to it and uses the info_A vorbis_info struct
(same as the encoder_example).
It's not particularly useful as of yet, but you can rename it to
BladeEnc.dll and use it with any number of rippers out there

porting splancs library to R
I am trying to port the splancs library for S++ version 4.0 to R. I have modified the original FORTRAN to use dllwrap/dlltool (e.g. removed common blocks). I have been able to generate dll's (splancs.dll) using dllwrap/dlltool and Ming32 g77 with a -mdll switch. As of yet I have not been able to generate a dll that can be loaded by R.
Does anyone out there have any suggestions. An example

Cygwin Rsync 2.5.6 over SSH hangs on Win2k->Win2k
When using Cygwin Rsync 2.5.6/OpenSSH 3.6.1 for copying files from
Win2k->Win2k, I get 2 or 3 hung processes on the receiving-side out of about
every 50 runs. These hung processes cause the system to be unable to
reboot(?!), requiring a hard reset. Killing the processes allows a graceful
reboot every time. I'm currently running both ssh and rsync as services on
the recieving side.

ACM codec?
Hi,
Is there a plan to make a FLAC ACM codec? Then we could use FLAC together
with an open source lossless video codec like Huffyuv
(http://www.math.berkeley.edu/~benrg/huffyuv.html).

eh? you can use ACM wherever you like. and there are many programs
that already use it. one of the interesting examples discussed
above is MS NetMeeting.

ACM codec
Hello everyone,
I was just browsing through some video capturing websites/forums and saw some
people complain that there was no lossless codec available to encode audio in
AVI files. I thought that FLAC would have one but it doesn't seem to be the case.
As it's a popular demand (now that hard drives are inexpensive, people can
record hours of video/audio without any loss and then
