Nullsoft Vorbis Decoder v.1.11a Bug Report
Hi, there. While waiting for the encoder RC1, I will report some minor problems I experienced with Peter's Winamp decoder. First, I am using Nullsoft Vorbis Decoder v.1.11a with Winamp v.2.76 on Windows 98 SE. 1. When the buttons of Playlist Editor are extended, the part extended in playlist screen seems to be flickering when an Ogg file is being played. 2. I check the option of

[Off Topic] humour, XMAS, ground loop - good business strategy
hi, I received this e-mail which contains a "ballad", at first I thought it was junk mail, but then I read through it, for the EE members of this list, it may be quite humorous. I don't know if the ballad is original, but at least it's the XMAS season, so it's something to lighten up your day, eh? -samudra """ How the Ground Loop Stole Christmas

Add arrows to a filled.contour margin
Hi, I try to put an arrow to a filled.contour plot. I make this: filled.contour(volcano, color = terrain.colors,key.axes=F) arrows(0.95,0,0.95,1,lwd=2) This work, but the problem is that I find the coordinates at random try, for other graphic with other scale is other fight with coordinates. Anybody know a more easy or more generalized way to make this? Somethink like this

Parsing the icecast stats log
Hello All, I wrote a PHP function to parse the icecast stats log and return as much information in a structured array as possible (well, as much as I care about, anyway). Because the stats log is not easily machine-parseable, I thought this might be useful to somebody. The log is parsed using Perl-compatible regexps, so it should easily port. I have only my own setup to test this on, so

New User FLAC Questions (3)
***ATTENTION MOD*** - My original submission to you was bounced because I sent it from the wrong email address. This is a resubmitted of that email. Thanks! OK, I've encoded ALL of my 437 CDs into FLAC after ripping them (secure mode) with EAC (man, I never want to have to do that again! Took forever!). Yes, I backed it up on 2 different removable hard drives! After all of that I

Persistent audio streams?
I am running MRTG. But yeah, I guess I should look into a few more things before I shoot my mouth (so to speak) off. potential BeOS fix
I'm not sure how this would affect other OS's (I have no real idea how autoconf, automake etc work) but this is a go at fixing the BeOS undefined link problem. Hope the diffs are okay P.S. is there a simple test program for the FP bug in the math inline header I'd like to see if BeOS suffers from the problem or not. FLAC / EAC Help
Hello! I'm new here, so forgive in advance any ignorance if you will. I have two issues... One involved using flacattack.exe, and the other involves burning from cuesheets. Issue #1: --------- Any time I rip from EAC into flacattack.exe, and the disc being ripped includes various artists, flacattack.exe crashes on the second track. The error I get (from the DOS window that flacattack runs

using iconv - how?
I am trying to use iconv to copy files from a UTF-8 machine to a iso8859 machine. The target is an embedded box with no UTF-8 support. I've tried both --iconv=utf-8,iso88591 and --iconv=. and the result is the same: [sender] cannot convert filename: Chris Botti _ Michael Bubl\#351 (Invalid argument) [sender] cannot convert filename: Stan Getz/Ballads and Bossa Nova/\#311 Preciso

Two Things: Python 2.1 & ices 0.2.2 / Multiple Streams
First off, I managed to build iceS 0.2.2 with Python 2.1, though I had to add -lutil to the $LIBS definition whilst ./configure'ing. Otherwise, configure won't find Py_Initialize Secondly - multiple streams I've added a second "stream" definition to my ices.conf, and both streams show up as sources for icecast, (http://blah.com:8000/list.cgi), though when i try to connect

GTA3 problems
I'm using the current cvs version of wine and have been using Grand Theft Auto 3 for a month or so with only a few issues. After updating and recompiling wine last night I encountered a pretty major problem, cut scenes refuse to end. They play through alright, but when it comes to the end of the scene the game doesn't resume. Out of curiosity I backed up my ~/.wine directory and used

Using plaintext auth and SSL
I'm working with a company that presently has a Linux mailserver which all users have (no shell) accounts on. Mail is accessed via pop3 with plaintext authentication. They want to move to a system using imap with SSL. I'm building them a new server. I'd like to offer both for a while so we can work the bugs out and migrate users over to SSL imap over time. It appears that in order

Damn!
I just tried rc4-cvs and I can't believe how good it sounds! I can hear very little difference between the wav and the q0-ogg on my above-average stereo... It really makes MP3 look (sound) *pathetic* in comparision! I did some comparisions on a few songs, from noisy 77-punk to Jean-Michel Jarre to EBM/Industrial, and q0/~64kbit RC4-vorbis sounds as good or better than V9/~128kbit LAME-mp3
