I bought myself a PowerBook and hoped to play my FLAC-encoded library via iTunes. Alas -- it doesn't work. My understanding is that iTunes uses QuickTime for playback; does anyone know where to find a FLAC codec for QuickTime? I noticed that there was some discussion about this ~1 year ago on flac-dev. Hi guys. I downloaded the xiph-qt-win32-0.1.5.zip file from your website. I unzipped and placed the .qtx file in C:\Program Files\Quicktime\QTCompenents. It doesn't install anything. There's no .exe file for it, and even if there shouldn't be, iTunes won't play .FLAC files or even .ogg files. Am I missing something here? I can't see an installation process. Is it possible to

Good news all! I now have a functional version of the Quicktime Component of the Ogg Vorbis decompressor. In English: this extension will allow all Quicktime apps to play .oggs (including iTunes). I plan on posting it ASAP. I have a few problems with memory that I'd like to get cleared up first. I plan on carbonizing it as soon as it functions in classic. I'll also do a Winders version.

Hi, Is the recent version 0.1.5 (08.05.2006) of XiphQT compatible with iTunes 5.0.1 and Mac OSX 10.4? I've followed Frank's instructions...got them installed, but, when I run iTunes, it complains that quicktime version required is 7.0.3 or later, and that I somehow have 7.0.d0....
