vpimd, a personal information server
This isn''t even close to ready for release, but in case anybody is
interested, has feedback, finds it useful as is, or even wants to
collaborate...
I''ve been working on a "personal information server", something of a
protocol multiplexer. Right now it serves calendar feeds for:
- a local calendar folder (iCal 1.x''s Library/Calendars)
- rss for local todos

Does someone know how to resolve this package conflict, it is creating

SMC Webconsole 3.1 and ZFS Administration 1.0 - stacktraces in snv_b89
I''ve installed SXDE (snv_89) and found that the web console only listens on https://localhost:6789/ now, and the module for ZFS admin doesn''t work.
When I open the link, the left frame lists a stacktrace (below) and the right frame is plain empty. Any suggestions?
I tried substituting different SUNWzfsgr and SUNWzfsgu packages from older Solarises (x86/sparc, snv_77/84/89,

Originating Client Request
Hi,
I''m a newbie to Mongrel, so apologies if this is a dumb question.
I''m trying to write a Mongrel handler to give my the *raw* client
request, however all I seem to be able to get is the CGI headers using
the Mongrel API.
I want to be able to capture the originating request, not the CGI
version as it may contain issues (like case, underscore''s rather than

R servlet engine ?!!!
I use CGIwithR to run a website that executes R scripts under cgi-bin.
Are there any projects that implement a work frame using R similar to
Java's servlet engine?
Initialization times are hurting. Can initialize once process and
treat all web requests as threads of this process?
Any help with this subject is greatly appreciated.

help with midi
Hi,
I'm trying to update the firmware of a musical device using a proprietary windows app that wants to write to a midi port (the device is a TC Electronics Nova System).
I have an M-Audio Uno USB MIDI interface on my Fedora 15 laptop and it is working correctly (I can successfully capture SysEx dumps using amidi, etc.).
The output of `amidi -l` is:

Kontakt doesn't respond to Akai USB MIDI Keyboard
Ubuntu 10.4, Wine 1.1.42, Native Instruments Kontakt 4, Akai MPK88
I've installed Kontakt (sampled musical instruments). Sound is working OK with the OSS driver, but the program doesn't respond to the USB keyboard. :-
( The keyboard shows up in `winecfg` under "Audio", OSS, MIDI In/Out devices.
I checked the MIDI options for the Kontakt program and it DOES show the Akai

Personal Composer
I have installed Personal Composer 2 in Wine 1.0.1 (Windows XP) under Ubuntu Linux 9.04. The Program seems to run OK, and I can enter notes into a musical sheet, but when I try to play the music there is no Sound!
If I look in the Wine Audio Properties, the ALSA Driver is checked, and I have 'Wine midi driver' and 'Midi Through' under MIDI In/Out Devices; pressing the Test Sound

Ogg MIDI proposal
This is a proposal for Ogg MIDI streams. It will also help other
stream additions to Vorbis, as they should follow a similar model.
Ralph has done much of the work on this, and also is working on MNG
Ogg streams.
Background

I was contracted to do this work, so even if you can't think of a use
for this, there is one ;) Basically with midi in Ogg, we can have

Registry entry to change MIDI mapper changed?
I'm trying to get the MIDI music for the 1996 SegaSoft game Lose Your Marbles (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=9196) working. The game itself remains Platinum under 1.3.34-- it runs great, without any overrides, and the sound effects work fine too... it's just the MIDI music that does not play, or rather, is not heard.
I went to the Wiki and performed all

ALSA and MIDI
Can anyone help me get MIDI working with Wine please? I'm on
wine-20050628, which I installed with the ./tools/wineinstall script.
It's a pure wine installation. (I have a Windows ME partition, but I'm
not using it.)
I'm using ALSA with Linux 2.6.x. I installed Band in a Box - according
to the application DB this works under wine, and indeed, it does load

documentation ir is "bytecode", in other set or llvm source is "bitecode"?
What is the right? Different people call the same thing such differently.

MIDI default output port / how to select timidity by default?
Hi,
Using timidity, I've been able to listen to MIDI files with Linux on a
machine with an Intel 801/AC'97 chip.
However, with Wine, I've had trouble. Log messages show that the first
MIDI output port is used. This happens to be 'MIDI Through' 62:0, not
Timidity on port 128:0.
$ aconnect -ol shows the list of output ports.
I have no idea what port 62:0 does (perhaps send
