(i hope this is correct m.list) Hi, there is a small compiling problem for mingw when compiling on libogg.. in include/ogg/os_types.h : ogg_int64_t, ogg_int32_t, etc are defined correctly on cygwin and MSVC/Borland but not on mingw... i have attached a patch that will fix this problem (i hope it attaches correctly) thx, Nehal --- os_types.h.old Fri Jul 19 02:25:52 2002 +++ os_types.h Tue

ERROR: missing backlink attribute 'memberOf'
Good Morning (or not), I am running three Samba AD DCs all at version 4.7.2 on Ubuntu 16.04.  All three have run flawlessly for over a year. Last night one of the DCs started failing Replication with both the other DCs so I decided to run samba-tool dbcheck . Resulting in several: ERROR: orphaned backlink attribute 'memberOf' in CN=Annamarie Foyles,CN=Users,DC=cy,DC=cybernetics,DC=com

Path to R script
There is certainly a trivial solution for my question, but I can't find the answer in the documentation. I need a platform independent method to obtain the file path of the current R script. My working group uses R on several machines with different operating systems including Mac OS X, Windows and Linux, and for obvious reasons the file hierarchies are very different. Therefore, it

Correction.
It has been pointed out to me that I erred in an earlier post. ``Go stick your head in a pig.'' is not the motto of the (entire) Sirius Cybernetics Corporation. It is the motto if the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation ***Complaints Division***. Power analysis and sample size calculation for nonlinear regression
Is there a library that provides power calculation and sample size estimation for nonlinear regression? The task is easy for linear regression with the "pwr" package, but I can't find a method for nonlinear regression (estimated with the "nls" package). -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Dr. Johannes W. Bug in t.test?
Hello all, due to unexplained differences between statistical results from collaborators and our lab that arose in the same large proteomics dataset we reevaluated the t.test() function. Here, we found a weird behaviour that is also reproducible in the following small test dataset: Suppose, we have two vectors with numbers and some missing values that refer to the same individuals and that

PATCH - mingw compatibility for 9/13/00 build.
I am a mingw coder and I needed to make the following changes to the CVS source from 9/13/00 to get a build: os_types.h L36C16 reads had to change "unsigned _G_int32_t" to "_G_uint32_t" to resolve the compile error: ..\include\vorbis\os_types.h:36:parse error before 'ogg_uint32_t' ..\include\vorbis\os_types.h:36:warning:data definition has no type or storage class

OH323 0.6.3b compilation problem with 1.0 RC2 on RH9
Hello, I just tried to compile OH323 0.6.3b on a RH9 machine with Asterisk 1.0 RC2 installed but failed. I applied the patch to the required OpenH323 library according to the instructions, and set the proper directories in the Makefile. Here is what I receive after I issue make: ******************************* g++ -DP_USE_PRAGMA -fno-rtti -ffunction-sections -fdata-sections -D_REENTRANT -

least summed square distance + fit
hi, I have a matrix (representing original data) that looks e.g. like this (consider it beeing x,y,z coords): 441 447 0 265 407 0 374 223 0 288 574 0 669 309 0 591 195 0 595 475 0 424 351 0 I get a second matrix (subject data) that is similiar to the above matrix but it is scaled, translated and rotated (and of course a little inprecise). Also I have an

GSoC Gmane improvements
Good morning. I'm Tatiana Merkulova, third-year student at Moscow State University, Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics. I'm interested in the 'Gmane Search improvements' project. I have strong background in C++ and unix system programming. I have some perl-knowledge, but I'm not its active user. Anyway, I think it wouldn't take much time to learn it in

Fwd: Re: Ubuntu 18:04 not getting 'home' directory from DC
Sorry for the delayed response, Louis, I'm not sure how to tell about having "cifs/UPN" - Please advise. I was able to mount with sec=krb5 after the user is logged in but that does not help getting "home" mounted during the login. But here is where I am now: I have been able to pam_mount "home" during the login but could not get the ACLs during the mount

libogg and libvorbis on MinGW
I am using libogg, libvorbis, and libvorbisfile in my most recent project. One of the build environments that my project must build on is MinGW. http://www.mingw.org/ Unfortunately, it seems that there are a few (possibly) minor problems with the libogg and libvorbis build processes which prevent me from building them under MinGW. One is that both of them reference header _G_config.h which

Controlling smbclient from python weirdness
I've written a python wrapper around the smbclient program, so that I can list/upload/download from Windows shares. Using smbclient 2.0.9 or Version 2.2.5-2 for Debian, my wrapper works well and is able to control the smbclient process via pipes well. With both smbclient 2.999+3.0cvs20020723-1 and 2.999+3.0.alpha20-3 (on a Debian box) the smbclient responses appear to be not always BEFORE the

TBH I find it really creepy. It just seems fundamentally wrong (for me, at least) for the program to be writing "Hi", which is a greeting between *people*. It gives me the same weird feeling

Ubuntu 18:04 not getting 'home' directory from DC
Rowland, How would I find this info? Check if 'Rachel Jones' has a 'gecos' attribute in AD. You seem to be being denied access to '.Xauthority', was it created on another machine ? No However, I am sure '-13' usually means incorrect password. I am sure the password is correct, the /mnt/home/rachel folder is created but the user files are not created because
