[Flac-users] Can I use Vorbis comment on ogg - flac?
Hello flac-users, I'm storing my ripped CDs on FLAC until Vorbis 1.0 gets out (supposedly RSN). But I want to enter the vorbis comment just once. Since I'll use ogg bitstream for both files, I was wondering if I could use vorbiscomment or tOGGer on ogg-flac files? Is there any tool (besides de pipe) to convert ogg-flac to ogg-vorbis? Best regards, Alejandro Belluscio

[Flac-users] WinAmp PlugIn and Ogg framing.
Hello flac-users, I'm trying to play an ogg flac file in WinAmp 2.80 but I get nothing. I'm using the native Vorbis plugin and the shipped FLAC 1.04 plugin. I guess it's a conflict regarding which plugin "owns" the ogg extension or format. I'm not sure. But I wanted to know how good the ogg framing was. But I couldn't test it because metaflac doesn't

[Flac-users] Any significant changes for 1.0.5?
Hello Josh, I'm about to encode some of my CDs. Are any significant changes for 1.0.5 that I may want to wait (like with VorbisComment) or is it really near? -- Best regards, Alejandro Belluscio

Multiplexed Ogg and header problems.
I there was a discussion on the vorbis list about Real Audio SureStream (tm) format. The basic idea was that they put multiple RA files with different compression levels. So when they have to switch the bit rate due to bandwidth changes, they choose from the streams they have. Since peeling is a long time away, it could be implemented with ogg vorbis multiplexing several times the same

Fwd: Re: [Flac-users] Can I use Vorbis comment on ogg - flac?
I was wondering if I could use tOGGer in ogg-flac files. So I asked Josh. His answer is quoted below (spoiler: doesn't think so). And when I tried tOGGer it didn't work. So I guess his right. But I wanted to know if his speculation is right (i.e. vorbiscomment saves comments in the first Vorbis packet). And if so why. I´m not sure how is Theora working. But it seemed logical to me that

Tripp-Lite USB constantlly disconnecting.
Soon as I get back to that computer I will let you know which kernel version. Both were just recently installed, Fedora was installed specifically for this actually, though updates have been applied. I've tried it with other USB ports already across 5 different machines. I've also swapped out the USB cable for another one that I knew worked fine. I'll see what I can do about

Charles, > What is the new behavior? The CentOS minimal install had different print statements and a broadcast message whenever the UPS was disconnected. The broadcast isn't really important. Below are the differences I pasted though I'm not sure if they are important, I just noticed they were different. Particularly the bolded parts which I think you alluded to in your email about

Charles, So I installed a minimal CentOS 6.5 installation on the Fedora box this morning and I got the same issue. Below are the kernel versions used. CentOS 6.5 Minimal - [root at nemo tmp]# uname -a Linux nemo 2.6.32-431.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Fri Nov 22 03:15:09 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux [root at nemo tmp]# rpm -qa | grep nut nut-2.6.5-2.el6.x86_64 nut-client-2.6.5-2.el6.x86_64

Re: [Nemo-devel] nuts status page
Adam: Thanks for putting up this page. But something is wrong. In particular, our Powerware 9135 is a three phase UPS system with THREE 480 volt outputs. So the displayed voltage is not correct -- in fact there should really be THREE voltages displayed, all around 480v. Nut developers: I am copying the NUT mailing list to see if anyone can suggest how to fix this. NUT developers, see the

If you run lsusb several times, does it still work? The exact output of lsusb isn't as important as whether anything gets logged by the kernel. empty array
Hi the list Is it possible to create an empty matrix ? I do not mean an matrix with a single value that is NA (which is not empty) but a real empty one, with length=0. I do not understand why we have length(numeric()), length(factor()) and length(character()) to zero, and length(array()) to one... Any rason for that ? Thanks Christophe

Some of my messages never went through since I hit a message size limit. I'm resending them in the hopes they are under the limit. Charles, The lsusb command did not trigger a disconnect. The output of that command is below. I ran "usbhid-ups -a upsunit -DDD &> output.log" and I have attached the /var/log/messages and output.log to this email. Before running this test

Server cutover complete; waiting for root server DNS propogation
Hello, All services have been successfully migrated to our new facility. Unfortunately, NetSol once again displayed a brilliant inability to grasp a clue using both hands and a suction cup, and informed us they *might* get around to updating DNS records in about two weeks. If we could fax them enough identification. Needless to say, they've lost our business and our domain transfers should
